FIRE-RETARDANT PANEL WITH FRAME
Fire-retardant panels that include: a frame with multiple holes that reduce heat conduction through the panel; or a frame that includes two portions separated by a layer of fire-resistant material (e.g., gypsum, calcium silicate, or gypsum board). Some embodiments include skins (e.g., sheet metal) or insulation (e.g., between skin and fire-resistant material, for instance, within the frame). In particular embodiments, the fire-resistant material is (e.g., midway) between: two skins, two layers of insulation, two portions of the frame, or a combination thereof. The portions of the frame can be: sheet metal, attached (e.g., screwed) to the skin(s) or to each other, or extend around the perimeter. The frame can include: various elongated members, (e.g., parallel) bends, or holes that are: in at least one row, elongated, or slots (e.g., parallel to each other or to the skin).
POLYMER MODIFIED ASPHALT ROOFING MATERIAL
A shingle coating asphalt composition is provided that is produced from a paving grade asphalt. The asphalt composition comprises a paving-grade asphalt that has been modified with one or more polymer additives; and a secondary additive comprising one or more of a viscosity reducing agent, a wax, a salt of a fatty acid ester, and an amide of a fatty acid. The shingle coating asphalt coating composition is used to make a shingle. The shingle includes a substrate, the asphalt, and roofing granules.
GAS BARRIER FILM
A gas barrier film includes: a substrate; and a gas barrier layer located on at least one surface of the substrate, the gas barrier layer containing an aqueous polyurethane resin that contains an acid group-containing polyurethane resin and a polyamine compound, a water soluble polymer, and an inorganic layered mineral, wherein, when a region from a top to a bottom of a cross-section of the gas barrier layer in a thickness direction, which is defined as a first region, is equally divided in the thickness direction into 11 strip regions, and a region different from the first region from a top to a bottom of a cross-section of the gas barrier layer in the thickness direction, which is defined as a second region.
FAR INFRARED REFLECTIVE FILM, HEAT SHIELD FILM, AND HEAT SHIELD GLASS
Provided are a far infrared reflective film including a base material and a far infrared reflective layer including a binder and flat conductive particles, in which a value obtained by dividing an average particle diameter of the flat conductive particles by an average thickness of the flat conductive particles is 20 or more, a thickness y nm of the far infrared reflective layer is 3 times or more the average thickness of the flat conductive particles, a volume fraction x of the flat conductive particles in the far infrared reflective layer is 0.4 or more, and a product xy of the volume fraction x and the thickness y satisfies Expression A, a heat shield film including the far infrared reflective film, and a heat shield glass including the far infrared reflective film.
