A single button allows a pot handle to be used as a pot stand, and thus there is no need for a separate additional component or handle. Even when a pot handle is used, a portion used in a folded state is protected by a holding projection and a protruding cover. In addition, a portion connected to a pot is spaced a certain distance from the pot, thus minimizing the amount of heat conducted when cooking food. A lateral movement prevention member is provided at the outer diameter of the bottom surface of a fixing piece and minimizes the lateral movement of the pot handle when the pot handle is used as the stand, and thus the pot handle can be safely used as the stand.

A cookware system that measures temperature is disclosed. In certain embodiments disclosed herein, the system includes a cooking base and a handle. The cooking base is connected to a temperature sensor. The handle includes a display that indicates a temperature level as measured by the temperature sensor. In certain embodiments, a desired temperature level can be set through a user interface in the handle which can allow a user to be notified when the cooking base reaches the desired temperature level. Advantageously, by notifying the user when the cooking base reaches the temperature level, the user can either adjust a cooktop power level to adjust the heat or start cooking using the cookware system.

COOKING SYSTEM FOR TRACKING A COOKING DEVICE

According to one example, a system comprises a heat source system and a processor. The heat source system comprises a plurality of heat sources. Each heat source is operable to provide an amount of energy to be used to cook a food item during a cooking process. The processor is operable to determine that a cooking device system has been positioned on or in a first heat source of the plurality of heat sources, determine an identity of the cooking device system that has been positioned on or in the first heat source, and correlate the determined identity of the cooking device system with an identity of the first heat source.

Composite cookware handle

A cookware handle includes a plastic grip portion molded over a portion of an insert. The insert inserts into a bore of a flange. The grip portion is externally flush with the flange interface and the insert internally connects the grip portion to the flange. This allows the grip portion to be over molded on a first part of the insert so the other portion can be welded or otherwise attached to the flange after external surface finishing of the flange. The insert and flange may be welded together along a portion of the insert that contacts the flange within the bore and that is not visible when the flange is attached to a cookware vessel sidewall to provide the grip molded as a handle for the cookware vessel.
