Impact-resistant material and pad

Impact-resistant materials and pads are disclosed. An impact-resistant material includes a first elastomer layer having a first density, a second elastomer layer having a second density higher than the first density, a layer of high-tensile strength fibrous material, and a polymer layer. These layers are preferably be arranged in the order in which they are recited. These layers may also be included in an impact-resistant pad configured to be worn by a user. The first elastomer layer is positioned directly adjacent the user when the pad is worn by the user.

An actuator includes a plurality of laminated electrode sheets, and adhesive layers provided between the electrode sheets adjacent to each other. Each electrode sheet includes an elastomer layer, and an electrode provided on the elastomer layer. The plurality of electrode sheets are laminated such that the elastomer layer and the electrode are alternately located, and the adhesive layer is thinner than the electrode.

LAMINATED SHEET

The present invention aims to provide a multi-layer sheet with excellent electromagnetic wave shielding properties. The multi-layer sheet includes an alternating multilayer unit with five or more A layer and B layer alternately laminated, in which the electromagnetic return loss at the peak top in the peak of return loss spectrum with the highest return loss at the peak top is 5 dB or more in a chart of the return loss in the multi-layer sheet.

An elastomeric laminate comprises at least two adjacent cohesive layers, the first layer consisting of a composition based on 10 to 100 phr of a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene of formula CH.sub.2═CR—CH═CH.sub.2, the ethylene units in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of the monomer units of the copolymer, the symbol R representing a hydrocarbon chain having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, from 0 to 90 phr of a diene elastomer having a content by weight of diene unit of greater than 50%, and a crosslinking system; the second layer consisting of a composition based on a diene elastomer having a content by weight of diene unit of greater than 50% and a crosslinking system. Also disclosed is a tire, in particular a tire provided with a sidewall, comprising this composition.
