METHODS OF MANUFACTURE OF HAIR FASTENERS AND HAIR FASTENERS MADE THEREFROM
The present invention is concerned with a method of manufacture of a hair fastener. The method includes the steps of i) providing at least one elastic band with a length of 65-205 mm and a width or diameter of 0.8-10 mm, wherein the elastic band defines ends surface at opposite ends thereof, ii) knitting a layer of fabric over and along the length of the elastic band; iii) connecting the opposite ends by a first connector thus effecting the elastic band taking the form of loop, wherein the first connector is an adhesive; iv) connecting the opposite ends by a second connecter, wherein the second connector is formed by molding over the first connector at the opposite ends, and bonding the second connector, the fabric cover and the elastic band at the opposite ends together.
Exercise mat
An exercise mat comprising: at least one top layer comprising polyurethane, at least one bottom layer, and at least one middle layer disposed between the at least one top layer and the at least one bottom layer,.
Elastic conductive composite fabric capable of detecting and providing electrical signals according to reflections of limbs and body movements
A composite fabric which is elastic and conductive and thus able to detect a user's limb and body movements includes a fabric layer and an elastic conductive layer of elastomer and conductive filler formed on the fabric layer. A resistance value and a strain increments of the fabric satisfy a relationship of R.sub.T=R+nε or R.sub.T=R+m e.sup.nε, wherein ε denotes the strain increment, R denotes the resistance value when the strain increment is 0, and R.sub.T denotes the resistance value when deformed through the increments. The m and n are coefficients, being a whole number or a fraction. A user can immediately detect and know the movements of his limbs according to the resistance value of the elastic conductive composite fabric.

Multilayer flexible tube and methods for making same
A multilayer flexible tube includes an inner layer including a melt processable fluoropolymer, wherein the melt processable fluoropolymer includes a terpolymer including a tetrafluoroethylene, a hexafluoropropylene, and a vinylidene fluoride (THV); a tie layer including a polymeric blend of a terpolymer including a tetrafluoroethylene, a hexafluoropropylene, and a vinylidene fluoride (THV) with a poly vinylidene fluoride (PVDF), a polyamide, a polyetheramide block copolymer, or combination thereof; and an outer layer including a melt processable polymer having a shore hardness less than a shore hardness of the inner layer.
Friction transmission belt and method for producing same
A frictional power transmission belt includes a tension layer forming a belt back surface, a compression rubber layer to be in contact with a pulley and frictionally engaged with the pulley, and a tension member embedded between the tension layer and the compression rubber layer along a belt length direction. The compression rubber layer has a surface to be in contact with the pulley. At least a part of the surface is coated with a fiber layer via a fiber/resin mixture layer. The fiber/resin mixture layer contains a resin component and heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than a vulcanization temperature of a rubber forming the compression rubber layer. The fiber layer contains hydrophilic heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than the vulcanization temperature and does not contain a resin component.
METAL - FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC COMPOSITE, METAL - FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC COMPOSITE UNIT, METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF METAL - FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC COMPOSITE, AND AUTO PART
In a metal-fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composite, the FRP and the metal member are bonded together, so internal stress (thermal stress) is generated due to the misfit of coefficients of thermal expansion of the metal member and the FRP. Not only does the binder layer peel off and the mechanical properties of the FRP cannot be obtained, but also defects in appearance (surface strain) occur. Therefore, the technical problem is to secure the mechanical properties as a composite while easing the internal stress and keeping surface strain from being generated.
The metal-fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composite according to the present invention solves the technical problem by sandwiching an FRP between two metal members and not having at least one of the metal members joined (bonded) with the FRP. Further, it is possible to arrange an intermediate member between the other metal member and the FRP and sandwich the FRP between the two metal members through the intermediate member.
Hook and fleece roofing system with rolled up adhesive release layer and method of application
A hook and loop system for attaching a roofing membrane into the top of a building insulation board including a roofing membrane with a fleece backing having a release sheet on the fleece backing. The release sheet is manually removed in the field to attach the fleece backing directly onto a layer of hooks that have been pre-attached onto the top of the insulation board. The release layer may be somewhat sticky, yet not adhere too tightly to the fleece layer such that its removal does not damage the fleece backing. The release layer may also be pre-rolled together with the fleece backed roofing membrane and shipped together as a unit into the field.
