Each support assembly includes an anti-slip layer that protrudes above the discrete cutting surface and sealingly cooperates with the walls of the discrete through-holes to maintain a sanitary and cleanable condition of the cutting board assembly. The body of the cutting board assembly is constructed to withstand exposure to high temperature conditions associated with use thereof.

The lid may include a peripheral gasket for sealing engagement with the base, and may be fastened to the cutting board base with a series of clamps provided on each side. The lid may be operable to cover prepared food on the base without disturbing it for storage and/or transport, and may also provide a water-tight seal along the perimeter of the cutting board and lid. Multiple cutting boards and sealable lids of different sizes may be placed in staggered nestable stacks.

The first and second reinforcement plates are positioned orthogonal to the first and second sidewalls and are configured to provide reinforcement for an elevation system when the portable cutting apparatus is in an elevated state. The first and second reinforcement plates and the first and second sidewalls of the bottom surface form a storage cavity for storing the elevation system.

A portable cutting apparatus is described. The portable cutting apparatus includes a cutting board having a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface includes sockets configured to receive legs of an elevation system. Each socket is threaded to include an alignment component and teeth. The alignment component biases rotation of the elevation system component during insertion into the socket to enable full insertion. The teeth are configured to mesh with corresponding teeth of the leg and mechanically secure the leg within the socket. The leg is threaded opposite an end configured for insertion into the socket to include a table foot, in a manner that enables individual height adjustment for each leg of the elevation system. The table foot is configured with a hollow cavity that permits articulation of a base of the table foot to adapt to various surfaces when the portable cutting apparatus is deployed.

The rotating cutting board is designed to firmly secure to a countertop via a series of suction cups disposed on the bottom surface of the cutting board. The rectangular or square-shaped cutting board features five separate suction cups on the bottom surface, in which a larger suction cup is positioned in the middle of the board and one smaller cup is positioned in each corner of the board. The larger suction cup elevates the board using a wooden slab connected through bearings to the board, such that the four small suction cups are lifted off the surface, ensuring that the board can rotate freely when the middle suction cup is secured. The suction cups ensure that the board remains stable while cutting to improve overall kitchen safety.

Therefore, food ingredients, remnants, scraps, and so on can be easily and directly scraped or otherwise moved from the work surface to the installed containers. A portion of the cutting board that comprises the work surface is placed on a counter or other support and may be weighted to offset the weight of the containers, which overlie open space or an area lower than the counter (e.g., a sink).
