Insulation panel

An insulation panel has a top barrier, a bottom barrier, and an insulation core layer disposed between to the top and bottom barriers. The insulation core layer includes a plurality of discrete hydrated compressed puffed polysaccharide particulates that are mechanically and/or chemically adhered to one another and to the top and bottom barriers. The plurality of discrete particulates defines a plurality of voids within the core layer.

Insulation panel

An insulation panel has an insulation core layer disposed that includes at least a first particulate and a second particulate of a plurality of discrete puffed polysaccharide particulates that defines a plurality of voids within the core layer. The first particulate is at least partially adhered to at least the second particulate at one or more bonded areas without the use of external non-water-soluble adhesives.

OVENABLE PACKAGE

An ovenable tray composite comprises a polymeric based liner and a fiber based component. The polymeric based liner incorporates polyolefin materials for performance in both adhesion (during use) and separation (for disposal) from the fiber based component, as well as high temperature resistant polymers that allow for the entire tray composite to be ovenable. Packages made from the lined trays described herein can be used for packaging food items intended to be heated for cooking or reheating the contents.

A plank has a first portion with at least three layers. The first layer is of a plant material, and has an inner surface that includes a nonwoven fabric or a fiberglass mesh. The second layer is of an adhesive paper material that includes a macromolecular glue where the macromolecular glue is 50-55% melamine, 35-40% plasticizer, and 3-5% formaldehyde. The third layer is one of bamboo, wood, or paper. The plank has a second portion, which may be of a plastic composite base material or a magnesium oxide composite base material. When the second portion is of a plastic composite material, the first portion is fused to the second portion by cold pressing or a polyurethane reactive adhesive. When the second material is of a magnesium oxide composite base material, the first portion is thermally pressed to the second portion by cold pressing, hot pressing or a polyurethane reactive adhesive.

PRE-IMPREGNATED FIBRE-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURED ARTICLE OBTAINED BY FORMING AND COMPLETE CURING OF SAID PRE-IMPREGNATED FIBRE- REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The invention relates to a pre-impregnated fibre-reinforced composite material in laminar form, obtained impregnating a fibrous mass with a polymeric binder composition and intended to be subjected to successive forming and complete curing operations to produce a fibre-reinforced composite material. The polymeric binder composition comprises one or more resins chosen in the group consisting of siloxane resins and silsesquioxane resins, and can optionally comprise one or more organic resins. The polymeric binder composition appears as a liquid with viscosity between 55000 and 10000 mPas at temperatures between 50 C. and 70 C. The polymeric binder composition forms a polymeric binder matrix, not cross-linked or only partially cross-linked, that fills the interstices of the fibrous mass. The invention also relates to a method for making said pre-impregnated fibre-reinforced composite material in laminar form. The invention also relates to a manufactured article obtained by hot forming and complete curing of the aforesaid pre-impregnated fibre-reinforced composite material, as well as a method for making said manufactured article.

Methods and Apparatus for Three- Dimensional Printed Composites Based on Folded Substrate Sheets

A three-dimensional object comprises substantially planar or flat substrate layers that are folded and stacked in a predetermined order and infiltrated by a hardened material. The object is fabricated by positioning powder on all or part of multiple substrate layers. On each layer, the powder is selectively deposited in a pattern that corresponds to tiles that each have a slice of the object. For each slice, powder is deposited in positions that correspond to positions in the slice where the object exists, and not deposited where the object does not exist. The tiles of each substrate layer are folded and aligned in a predetermined order. Multiple folded substrate layers mat be combined into a single stack. The powder is transformed into a substance that flows and subsequently hardens into the hardened material in a spatial pattern that infiltrates positive regions, and does not infiltrate negative regions, in the substrate layers.
