SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARTICULATING BOARD PRODUCT HAVING A FACING WITH SCORE LINES IN REGISTER TO FLUTING
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have a pre-scored facing in addition to a medium (sometimes called fluting). Conventional corrugated board may feature a cross-corrugated medium and one or more facing that have no score lines that are imprinted (at least prior to assembly with the corrugated medium). Such a conventional board product may be inferior because any score lines that are imprinted will damage the underlying corrugated medium in some manner. A breakdown in the strength of the underlying medium leads to poor precision when the eventual board product is scored, cut, and bent. A lack of precision in folding a board product is known as fishtailing as any articulated portion of the board product may not maintain a precise plane of articulation when bent. Hence, the articulated portion “fishtails” out of alignment. Having precisely located impression lines in register to underlying flutes of a medium ensures correct and precise articulation.
Filmless backsheets with good barrier properties
A multilayer nonwoven structure is described where the nonwoven structure comprises at least two spun bond layers and at least one easily meltable layer. The easily meltable layer is located between the at least two spunbond layers. The easily meltable layer is comprised of a polymer having a melting point at least 20° C. less than the melting point of the polymer which comprises the surface of the fibers which comprise the spun bond layer, or is made from a polymer which is readily absorbs some form of radiation. Under bonding conditions, the fibers which make up the easily meltable layer can be melted to form a film, thereby improving bather properties of the nonwoven structure.
Method for manufacturing rack housing and rack housing
Two laminating sheets each formed by laminating a carbon fiber sheet and a film of a thermoplastic resin are set on heating in an area of a mold corresponding to a tubular portion of a rack housing. The mold is clamped, the carbon fiber sheet is impregnated with the thermoplastic resin of the film, each of the two laminating sheets is pressed into a shape with a half tube corresponding to a half circumference of the tubular portion and connection portions at both ends of the half tube in a circumferential direction, and two half tubes are bonded together at the connection portions thereof to form the tubular portion.
Method for manufacturing display panel and display panel manufactured by the method
A method for manufacturing a display panel includes providing a mother substrate that includes a display area and a non-display area, and includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a sealant provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, generating a crack on the sealant through irradiation of laser onto the sealant between the first substrate and the second substrate, and cutting a part of the second substrate and a part of the sealant at a position corresponding to the crack.
ELASTOMERIC LAMINATE WITH ACTIVATION THICKNESS
A method for forming an elastomeric laminate includes the steps of providing a first coverstock material; SELF'ing the first coverstock material to create a pre-SELFed coverstock layer having a primary activation pattern comprising SELF-specific land areas; providing an elastomeric layer; and joining the elastomeric layer to the pre-SELFed layer at zero relative strain, such that the elastomeric layer and pre-SELFed coverstock layer are joined at one or more bonding sites.
CONTOURED FILM WITH MICRO-PROTRUSIONS
A polymeric film is provided, the film comprising one or more land portions that are substantially coplanar in a base plane and a plurality of distended portions separated from one another by the one or more land portions. The distended portions bow distally outward from the base plane. The polymeric film further comprises a plurality of annular micro-protrusions extending outward from the distal film surface, each protrusion having an apex. A portion of the plurality of annular micro-protrusions extends from each of the one or more land portions of the polymeric film and from each of the distended portions of the polymeric film.
Interior reinforcing structure for a door and method of installing an interior reinforcing structure in a door
A reinforcing structure for a door includes a first region constructed from a first grade of corrugated paperboard and second and third regions constructed from a second grade of corrugated paperboard. The first region may be expandable and the second and third regions may be non-expandable. A method for installing the reinforcing structure in a door having a frame and two opposed skins with recessed areas includes installing the reinforcing structure on the surfaces of the recessed areas between the skins.
Method for connecting thermoplastic, coated components and plastic component
A method for connecting thermoplastic components, in which the opposing surfaces thereof are at least partially melted by introducing energy.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING DOUBLE-LAYER FABRIC FOR DOWN PRODUCTS HAVING PATTERN JOINING LINE FORMED BY HIGH-FREQUENCY BONDING
A device for preparation of double fabric for down products comprises a printing means that can print an adhesive in a predetermined printing pattern on fabric; a drying means that can dry or fix the adhesive; a laminating means that can stack and laminate the fabrics on which an adhesive is printed; and a bonding means that can bond the fabrics with a cured adhesive by pressing with a predetermined pressing means and high-frequency heating to cure the adhesive; wherein said printing pattern and the pressing pattern are the same in pattern (shape), can be overlapped on the basis of the center line and have a difference in size (width) of 20% or less. Consequently, double fabric for down products thus manufactured has an excellent adhesiveness and durability and an aesthetically excellent pattern line with good clearness and finishing quality.
Methods of making melt-bonded thermoplastic bags with tailored bond strength
One or more implementations of a multi-layered bag with reinforced seals include an outer layer or bag and an inner layer or bag positioned within the outer layer or bag. The multi-layered bag further includes a draw tape positioned near the opening of the multi-layered bag. The draw tape can allow a user to at least partially close the multi-layered bag by drawing the layers of the bag together. The multi-layered bag further includes one or more tape seals that bond the draw tape to layers of the bag. The tape seals can be reinforced and include at least seven plies bonded together. One or more implementations further include methods of forming multi-layered bags with reinforced seals.
