Carpet tiles and systems and methods of making same

A carpet tile having a greige good, an adhesive layer, and a secondary backing material. The greige good has a primary backing component and a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing component. The adhesive layer has an adhesive composition and a reinforcement material that is at least partially embedded within the adhesive composition. The adhesive layer is applied to a back surface of the primary backing component. The secondary backing material is adhered to the primary backing component by contact with a portion of the adhesive composition that flows through the reinforcement material. The reinforcement material and the secondary backing material are co-laminated onto the adhesive composition.

Laminated core and method for producing a laminated core

A method for producing a laminated core is provided in which a plurality of lamination sheets is partially or completely separated from a strip made of a soft magnetic alloy by laser sublimation cutting, the lamination sheets each having a main surface and a thickness d. The main surface of a first of the lamination sheets is stacked on the main surface of a second of the lamination sheets in a direction of stacking and the main surfaces of the first and the second lamination sheets are substance-to-substance joined at a plurality of points by laser welding, a plurality of filler-free joints being formed between the between the first and the second lamination sheets and being entirely surrounded by the main surfaces of the first and the second lamination sheets.

A method of producing a laminated body is provided in which, while a carrier A is wound off from a bobbin, an adhesive is applied to both facing ends thereof and a metal foil B is laid on and bonded to a side to which the adhesive was applied. The obtained laminated body is subsequently cut, a plurality of the cut laminated bodies are aligned in a stack, a roller is applied from the top of the stack when the elevation of the center of the stack becomes high to vent air existing between and within the laminated bodies. After the air vent process, the adhesive hardens to mutually bond the carrier to the metal foil of each laminated body. Accordingly, a carrier-attached copper foil that provides improvements in handling ability in the production process of a printed board and cost reduction based on improved production yield.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPLEMENTING THREE DIMENSIONAL (3D) OBJECT, PART AND COMPONENT MANUFACTURE INCLUDING DISPLACEMENT/VIBRATION WELDED OR HEAT STAKED LAMINATES
20180272685 · 2018-09-27 ·

A system and method are provided for implementing relatively low temperature joining processes, including displacement/vibration welding techniques and/or heat staking techniques, in a process of building up laminate layers to form and/or manufacture three-dimensional objects, parts and components in additive material (AM) manufacturing systems. A multi-stage 3D object forming scheme is described involving steps of laminate cutting (with lasers or other cutting devices); laminate transport between processing stations (including using one or more of conveyors, robotic pick and place devices and the like); laminate stacking, clamping and adhering through comparatively low temperature welding or other mechanical joining (including displacement/vibration welding or heat staking); and mechanical surface finishing (via CNC machining or other comparable process).

Application Device Designed to Apply a Seal to a Body Element of a Vehicle and Method
