Secure laminate with security feature on the edge
A laminate structure along with one or more security features is disclosed. The laminate structure may correspond to an identification document, such as an identification card, and may include a core layer with one or more security elements established thereon. As light is emitted into the core layer, the light impacts one or more of the security elements and is re-radiated back out of the core layer, thereby providing an indication that the laminate structure includes the security elements and is, therefore, authentic.
Structured fabrics for electronic devices
Electronic equipment may include structured fabric. Structured fabric may be used as a protective case or cosmetic cover for an electronic device, may be used to form a band that holds an electronic device against a user's body, or may be used to cover one or more openings in an electronic device. Structured fabrics may be soft and pliable while maintaining the ability to hold a given shape without added support. Structured fabric may be formed by laminating fabric such as warp-knit fabric with a stiffener such as polymer film. Structured fabrics may include openings through which signals such as optical or audio signals pass. To maintain the geometry and shape of the openings in the structured fabric without covering the openings, the stiffener and adhesive that are attached to the fabric may be cut to form a pattern of openings that align with the openings in the fabric.
Process for manufacturing decorative multilayer coatings method of use thereof
A process for optimizing the manufacture of decorative multilayer coatings for attachment to surfaces, including using a roll-to-roll printer to print a decorative layer on a surface of a film layer, wherein the decorative layer includes cutting lines and a first indication, using a curable roller coater to coat a layer on the surface above the print layer, using a laminator to laminate a mask over the print layer, using a cutter to cut the print layer into a cut print, and entering the cut print layer into a line printer to read the first indication and print a second indication on the cut print.
Composite wood panels with corrugated cores and method of manufacturing same
A composite wood panel is manufactured from thin wood laminae cut from wood unsuitable for peeler logs or dimensional lumber. At least one bonding agent is applied to the wood laminae, and they are formed into a randomly oriented mat that is compressed into a thin wood web that can be a corrugated web or a flat web that is permanently set in a single press operation.
Scrim layer on insulation
A layered composite includes an insulation sheet and at least one scrim layer secured thereto. The at least one scrim layer may be embedded within the thickness of the insulation sheet, or bonded to a corresponding face of the insulation sheet, and have a tensile strength greater than that of the insulation sheet. As such, the scrim layer provides structural support to the insulation sheet as well as a trap for fibers or particles that may separate from the insulation sheet.
Themoformable panel
A thermoformable panel for shelves includes at least one core plate having honeycomb structure consisting of a plurality of contiguous cells; a coating layer, or optionally two or more coating layers, having at least one thermoplastic material coupled to the core plate on at least one face of said core plate. Further includes are stiffening elements provided as at least one or more metal strips and/or braided plastic material such as straps, spread over the surface extension of at least one face of the honeycomb core, the metal strip or strips being restrained against or inside the honeycomb core with the at least one coating layer coupled by physical chemical adhesion against the at least one face of the honeycomb core.
Fitting device and fitting method for cylindrical film body
A label fitting device cylindrically opens and feeds downward an individual label, and thereby fits the individual film body around a fitting target carried to a fitting position. The label fitting device includes a feed unit which feeds downward the label base material while changing the carrying direction thereof, and a label fitting unit which carries downward the label and fits the label to the container. The label is formed by cutting the label base material fed by the feed unit. The label fitting unit is provided so as to be turnable relative to the container to thereby enable adjustment of the fitting angular position of the cylindrical label relative to the circumferential direction of the container.
Bonding apparatus and method of fabricating curved display device using the same
A method of fabricating a curved display device includes placing a cover window having a curved portion and a flat portion on a stage, placing an absorption member, on which a panel member is placed, over the stage, and bonding the panel member onto the flat portion and then the curved portion of the cover window by pressing the panel member against the cover window with a roller, wherein a supporting member is formed at an end of the stage, where the bonding of the panel member and the cover window ends, such that the supporting member supports an end of the panel member until the bonding of the panel member and the cover window is complete.
PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF STONE MATERIAL MANUFACTURED ARTICLES
Process for the realization of manufactured articles in stone material, characterized by comprising the following steps of: providing a block or flat sheet of said stone material, and gluing a support in a flexible material on a surface of said sheet, carrying out the cutting or sectioning of said sheet to obtain a laminated panel with a determined minimum thickness, carrying out the winding of the mentioned laminated panel on a roll or similar curved surface to obtain the crushing of said panel into irregular chunks or parts; carrying out the impregnation or spreading on said crushed panel with polymeric materials or thermosetting resins; recomposing the planarity of said impregnated panel thus obtained.
Laser cutting method and articles produced therewith
Laser cutting of multilayer optical film bodies comprising polyester and polycarbonate materials.
