Trailing edge flap having a waffle grid interior structure
An aircraft flap is constructed of nested layers of composite material in the aircraft flap that include an inner layer, a middle layer and an outer layer. The aircraft flap is constructed with the inner layer laid up around a central mandrel, the middle layer laid up around the middle layer and the outer layer laid up around the middle layer. The inner layer, the middle layer and the outer layer are co-cured on the mandrel, removed from the mandrel and then assembled together with the inner layer formed in a folded over configuration around a hollow interior volume of the aircraft flap, the middle layer formed in a folded over configuration over the inner layer, and the outer layer formed in a folded over configuration around the middle layer.
PROTECTION MEMBER FOR DISPLAY, DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE PROTECTION MEMBER FOR DISPLAY
A protection member, a display device and a method for fabricating a protection member for display are provided. A protection member for display includes a glass substrate including a surface and another surface facing each other in a thickness direction, and a side surface extended between the surface and the another surface, a coating layer that overlaps and contacts the side surface of the glass substrate, and includes a surface and another surface facing each other in a thickness direction, and a side surface extended between the surface and the another surface, and an impact absorbing pattern disposed on at least a portion of the coating layer and including at least one of grooves and holes.
Roof Cover Board Derived From Engineered Recycled Content
An improved cover board product with a panel comprised of three discrete layers: a top surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, a bottom surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, and a core layer comprised of discrete paper fragments and polypropylene fragments, which are connected by use of a thermoplastic bonding resin, including polyethylene. The bonding resin is generally attached in a random pattern to less than 100% of the paper fragment and polypropylene fragment surface area. The paper fragments are generally shaped as irregular plates. The polypropylene fragments can have multiple shape types. The two different fragment types are randomly distributed in the core layer relative to each other. The core layer includes small voids in and around the particles, which improves flexibility. The core layer is attached to the top and bottom surface layers by use of a thermoplastic adhesive, including polyethylene.
Laminate Countertop with Synthetic Polymer Substrate
A laminate countertop with a curved edge profile includes a base support including a synthetic polymer material. The synthetic polymer material can be a closed-cell polymer foam. The base support includes a top surface, a bottom surface, opposing longitudinal sides, at least one of which comprises the curved edge profile, and opposing latitudinal sides. The countertop also includes a laminate cover formed from a cured resin material adhered to and covering at least a portion of the top surface and at least a portion of the curved edge profile of the base support. A method for forming the laminate countertop includes steps of providing the base support and adhering the laminate cover over at least a portion of the top surface and a portion of the curved edge profile of the base support.
BADGES AND METHODS FOR MAKING BADGES
A method for making a badge includes laminating a printed substrate with a back side laminate sheet and a front side laminate sheet and disposing a barrier sheet between at least one of the back side laminate sheet and the printed substrate and the front side laminate sheet and the printed substrate. And a side loading pocket section is formed between at least one of the back side laminate sheet and the printed substrate and the front side laminate sheet and the printed substrate.
Paper Label with Polymer Film Reinforcement and Method of Manufacture
A method for manufacturing a roll of stock material for making a label having a shelf portion with PSA and a bib portion with deadened adhesive is provided. The shelf portion includes a layer of polymer. A continuous layer of paper is bonded to a continuous layer of poly with applied strips of catalyzed adhesive from a roller. Unbonded strips of poly are kiss-cut and removed to expose the paper between bonded strips of poly. A continuous layer of PSA is applied over the poly and exposed paper. Strips of deadening agent are applied over the layer of PSA that overlays the exposed paper. The PSA and deadening agent are cured and a release layer is applied over them.
HIGH LOFT MATERIAL TRANSFER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A method for manufacturing a thermal transfer from a high-loft substrate such as velvet. The method begins with a high-loft material sheet. The sheet is registered in a vacuum press, and a vacuum is applied to one side. A sublimation graphic is printed onto an opposing side of the high-loft material sheet. Next, an adhesive layer is laminated onto the opposing side of the printed sheet. The sheet is optionally laser-etched on the printed side, and is laser-cut into a desired shape. A protective release sheet is applied over the printed graphic. The method makes it possible to sublimation-print the transfer onto high-loft fabric such as velvet and yet still retain fine graphical registration and detail.
FIBER TOW WRAP RESISTANT FIBER PLACEMENT HEAD
A fiber placement head for applying a plurality of composite tape segments on a mold including one or more powered wheels that are configured to engage and move composite tape; and one or more elongated fingers that closely conform to or abut an outer surface of the powered wheel(s) such that a portion of the elongated finger(s) forms at least a portion of a lane path.
Method of forming a top plane connection in an electro-optic device
An electrical connection between the backplane and the light-transmissive front electrode of an electro-optic display is provided by forming an aperture through the top front electrode coupled and a substrate coupled thereto and subsequently introducing a flowable, electrically-conductive material into the aperture. The flowable, electrically-conductive material provides an electrical contact between the light-transmissive electrically-conductive layer and the backplane.
Magnetic field shielding sheet for a wireless charger, method for manufacturing same, and receiving apparatus for a wireless charger using the sheet
Provided are a magnetic field shield sheet for a wireless charger, a method of manufacturing the sheet, and a receiver for the wireless charger by using the sheet. The sheet includes at least one layer thin magnetic sheet made of an amorphous ribbon separated into a plurality of fine pieces; a protective film that is adhered on one surface of the thin magnetic sheet via a first adhesive layer provided on one side of the protective film; and a double-sided tape that is adhered on the other surface of the thin magnetic sheet via a second adhesive layer provided on one side of the double-sided adhesive tape, wherein gaps among the plurality of fine pieces are filled by some parts of the first and second adhesive layers, to thereby isolate the plurality of fine pieces.
