Machine and method for paint-roller manufacturing with integrated final cutting online
10967558 · 2021-04-06 ·

A paint roller manufacturing system and method are described. In an embodiment, an inner strip of material and an outer strip of material are wound about a mandrel in offset relation. The inner strip of material and the outer strip of material each comprise material that results in a final paint roller which shrinks by less than 2.5 percent of the final paint roller axial length, or which has shrinkage that varies by less +/0.1%, upon hardening and setting. An adhesive is applied to at least a portion of the outer strip as it is wound about the mandrel. A length of fabric is wound about at least the outer strip to form a paint roller tube, and compression is applied to the paint roller tube while advancing the paint roller tube in a direction parallel to the mandrel. A precision measuring or sensing device is used to control a cutting device causing the cutting device to cut the advancing paint roller tube into pre-selected lengths prior to the paint roller tube hardening and setting.

LAMINATOR

A laminator applies a plastics film to an insulated glass unit 6. A conveyor system feeds the insulated glass unit through the laminator in a horizontal orientation and a reel 12 of plastics film is unwound. A perforator 22 having a circular cross section rotates around an axis transverse to a direction of travel of the unwound plastics film 8, and creates a longitudinal line of perforations in the film extending in the direction of travel and at a location outside an edge of the insulated glass unit 6. A laminating roller 2 presses the plastics film 8 against the insulated glass unit 6 to adhere the plastics film thereto, and a transverse cutter 30 creates a transverse line of perforations in the plastics film 8.

Manufacturing method for flexible display panel and flexible display device

A flexible display panel and a method for manufacturing the same, and a flexible display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The method for manufacturing a flexible display panel according to the disclosure includes: forming an adhesion-variable back film on a non-light-exiting surface of a flexible display substrate; cutting the adhesion-variable back film along a boundary of a to-be-removed region; removing the adhesion-variable back film in the to-be-removed region; and increasing adhesion of the adhesion-variable back film to obtain the flexible display panel.

SUBSTRATE LAMINATE, IMAGE SENSOR, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUBSTRATE LAMINATE

A method for manufacturing a substrate laminate includes steps Sa, Sb, Sc, Sd, and Se. In step Sa, a photosensitive composition is applied to one surface of a first substrate to form a coating film on the surface. In step Sb, the coating film is irradiated with an active energy ray through a photomask to form an exposed portion formed of the semi-cured photosensitive composition and a non-exposed portion in the coating film. In step Sc, the non-exposed portion is removed from the first substrate with an alkaline developer to form a patterned coating film on the first substrate. In step Sd, the patterned coating film is heated to obtain a first layer. In step Se, the first layer and a second substrate are bonded to each other with an adhesive interposed therebetween, the adhesive is then cured to obtain a second layer.

INSULATION PRODUCTS AND METHODS AND MACHINES FOR MAKING INSULATION PRODUCTS

The presently disclosed subject matter generally relates to recyclable insulation material for shipping containers, groceries bags, etc., machines for making the recyclable insulation material, and methods for the making the recyclable insulation material. In one aspect, an insulation product may include a first layer and a first continuous paper sheet formed into a first plurality of flexible loops disposed on and attached to the first layer and defining a first plurality of air channels that extend in a direction that is substantially perpendicular with a machine direction of the insulation product. A take up factor of the first continuous paper sheet to the first layer may be greater than 1:1.

Method of encapsulating an environmentally sensitive device

Methods of encapsulating an environmentally sensitive device. The methods involve temporarily laminating a flexible substrate to a rigid support using a reversible adhesive for processing, reversing the reversible adhesive, and removing the device from the rigid support.

Venting liner and method

A venting liner is connectable in fluid communication between a closure and an interior of a device for venting gas from the interior into the ambient atmosphere. The venting liner has a first fluid impervious and gas permeable outer layer, a second relatively rigid and substantially incompressible outer layer defining an open cell structure, and an inner foam layer defining an inner surface and an outer surface, a plurality of fluid-flow apertures spaced relative to each other, extending between the inner and outer surfaces, and forming substantially vertical fluid-flow paths through the inner layer. The first outer layer is in fluid communication with the interior of the device for venting gas through the interior of the first outer layer, substantially vertically through the apertures and, in turn, through the interior open cell structure of the second outer layer and into the ambient atmosphere.
