Display laminate formed as a continuous web

A display laminate which includes a front electrode layer, a display material layer and a protective film layer, wherein the protective film layer and the display material layer are narrower than the front electrode layer and wherein the protective film layer and the display material layer have a common edge with the front electrode layer on a first side and a common edge with each other but not with the front electrode layer on an opposite side.

Laminate unit for manufacturing bonded-type laminated core member and apparatus having the same for manufacturing laminated core member

Disclosed herein is a bonded-type laminated core member manufacturing apparatus including an adhesive application unit to apply an adhesive to a material being continuously transferred, and a laminating unit configured to integrate laminar members laminated within a laminating hole by blanking the material, a laminated core member being manufactured by interlayer adhesion between the laminar members, and the laminating unit includes an adhesive hardener to harden the adhesive located between the laminar members so as to integrate the laminar members passing through the laminating hole, and pinchers provided under the adhesive hardener to apply lateral pressure to the laminated core member so as to prevent falling of the laminated core member. Since the laminated core members may be stably extracted, damage to the laminated core member due to falling may be prevented and the laminated core members in an aligned state may be extracted.

Method of installing a heat tube on pre-insulated piping

A method is shown for installing a heat tube on a section of pre-insulated piping. A metal carrier pipe is covered with a first layer of foam insulation. Next, a routing device is used to cut a longitudinal slot along the length of the pipe so that the pipe exterior surface is exposed from the insulation. A heat tube is then installed within the longitudinal slot, whereby the heat tube contacts the exterior surface of the metal carrier pipe. A second layer of foam insulation is then sprayed onto the exterior of the metal carrier pipe, covering the previously formed longitudinal slot and installed heat tube. A polyolefin coating is then applied over the insulation to form a protective outer jacket for the insulated pipe.

A sheet structure, fabricated from paper and/or paperboard material, provides a thickness dimension ordinarily associated with corrugated paperboard material. The sheet structure is constructed from a first planar linerboard sheet and a second non-planar linerboard sheet, wherein a plurality of projections are cut and folded from the second linerboard sheet and are adhesively coupled to the first linerboard sheet, such that portions of the projections define a standoff between the first and second linerboard sheets.

Creation of a transparent polymer window with a field of lenses in a security paper substrate
10654256 · 2020-05-19 · ·

There is described a method of creating a transparent polymer window (W) with a field of lenses (L) in a security paper substrate (1), the method comprising the steps of (i) providing a security paper substrate (1), (ii) forming an opening (10) into the security paper substrate (1), (iii) laminating a transparent film (5; 5*) onto a first side (I) of the security paper substrate (1) in such a way as to close the opening (10) at one end, and (iv) filling the opening (10) with transparent polymer material (2). In one embodiment, the transparent film (5) comprises a field of lenses (L) and is laminated onto the first side (I) of the security paper substrate (1) in such a way as to form lenses (L) on the first side (I) of the security paper substrate (1) in register with the opening (10). In another embodiment, the field of lenses (L) is replicated into the transparent polymer material (2) applied in the opening (10) in such a way as to form lenses (L) on a second side (II) of the security paper substrate (1), opposite to the first side (I), in register with the opening (10). Also described is a device designed to fill the opening (10) formed into the security paper substrate (1) with the transparent polymer material (2) and a processing machine comprising the same.

Replacing keyboard characters

A computer keyboard is refurbished by applying to its keys stickers each bearing a character designating the action of a respective key. For application of the stickers to the keys, the stickers are configured and arranged on an application tape in a layout congruent with the layout of the keys by a digital scan of the keyboard. The stickers are temporarily attached to the application tape by a peelable adhesive and then permanently attached to the keys by a pressure-sensitive permanent adhesive.

Sheet production line

A sheet production line comprises: a calender for laminating and calendaring a sheet blank; a first conveying mechanism arranged at a discharge end of the calender and used for carrying and conveying a semi-finished sheet product output from the calender, where the first conveying mechanism is a traction conveying mechanism; a section cutting mechanism arranged behind the discharge end of the calender in a traveling direction of the semi-finished sheet product; and a second conveying mechanism arranged at a discharge end of the section cutting mechanism in a traveling direction of the sheet sections, where the second conveying mechanism is a non-traction conveying mechanism.
