DISPENSER AND DISPENSING METHOD FOR LAMINATING POUCH WEB MATERIAL
20200048025 · 2020-02-13 ·

A system for dispensing a web of two-ply laminating material includes a container in which a web of material is positioned. The web material has a first side edge along which a first ply and a second ply of the laminating material are connected. The first and second plies of the material are not connected at a second side edge of the material. An inwardly-facing surface of the first ply includes an adhesive coating. A distance between the first and second side edges defines a width of the material that is shorter than a length of the material. The opening in the container has a dimension greater than or equal to the width such that the material can be withdrawn from the container through the opening.

FIBER REINFORCED METAL COMPOSITE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
20200047462 · 2020-02-13 ·

In one aspect, the present invention provides a fiber reinforced metal composite comprising a metal layer and a fiber layer which are arranged in a stack, and adjacent layers are fixed by bonding; the composite has a two-layered or three-layered structure, wherein one layer is closely adhered to another layer and the thickness of the layer is from 0.6 mm0.9 mm. Such structure changes the structure of the existing fiber metal composite characterized by generally having more than three layers, and greatly reduces the thickness of the composite while maintaining good mechanical properties. In another aspect, the present invention discloses an application of fiber reinforced metal composite in the field of luggage case manufacturing, provides two preparation methods for providing fiber reinforced metal case shell with simple and available operations.

Method and apparatus for building a 3D object from layers of pre-stripped substrate

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a system and method for manufacturing a three-dimensional object from a stack of pre-stripped layers of substrate. Each object layer is formed by (i) providing substrate comprising waste portion(s) and substrate-retained portion(s) that are attached to each other and separated from one another by cut(s) within the substrate; (ii) subsequently, subjecting the subject of each layer to a stripping process which selectively strips away substrate-waste portion(s) from the substrate-retained portion(s). After stripping, the object layer is added to a stack of previously-stacked object layers to grow the stack. This process is repeated to further grow the stack. Object layers of the stack are bonded to each other to build the three-dimensional object therefrom. Apparatus and methods for stripping are also describedany teaching or combination of teaching(s) related to stripping substrate may be employed in any additive-manufacturing process described herein.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING LAMINATION PARTS TO FORM A LAMINATION STACK
20200039181 · 2020-02-06 ·

A device and a method for connecting lamination parts to form a lamination stack, in which lamination parts are punched out from an electrical strip that is coated on at least one of its flat sides with a hot-melt adhesive varnish layer, the lamination parts that have been punched out are stacked, and then connected in an integrally joined manner through thermal activation of the hot-melt adhesive varnish layer to form a plurality of lamination stacks. Before the lamination parts are punched out, the electrical strip is prepared in a subregion of the hot-melt adhesive varnish layer in such a way that after the lamination part is punched out, this lamination part facilitates separation of the stacked lamination parts into lamination stacks. In the preparation of the electrical strip, the layer thickness of the hot-melt adhesive varnish layer on the electrical strip is at least reduced through removal by laser light in order to produce the subregion.
