Touch screen having gel-based optical adhesive layer
The present invention relates to a touch screen that is assembled by a bonding process. The touch screen includes a display module including a frame and a displaying area; a touch panel configured above the display module and to receive a touch input; and a gel-based optical adhesive partially pre-cured prior to an implementation of the bonding process, interposed between and bonding the display module and the touch panel, and having a coverage larger than the displaying area and less than an outer edge of the frame and a ratio of transmittance larger than a percent of 91%.
METHOD OF LAMINATING A FUNCTIONAL FILM ONTO AN OPTICAL ARTICLE AND OPTICAL ARTICLE
This method of laminating a functional film onto an optical article includes: thermoforming the functional film so as to provide the functional film with a predetermined target curvature based on a curvature of a face of the optical article on which the functional film is to be applied; applying the functional film onto that face of the optical article; pressing the functional film against that face of the optical article so as to adhere the functional film to that face of the optical article. This method further includes heating the functional film at at least one predetermined temperature after the applying, so that the functional film conforms to the curvature of that face of the optical article.
THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE SHEET WITH METAL PLATE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE SHEET
There is provided a thermally conductive sheet with a metal plate including: a metal plate; and a thermally conductive sheet laminated on the metal plate and containing a thermosetting resin and boron nitride particles, in which an average particle size of the boron nitride particles is 10 μm or more and 100 μm or less, and an amount of warpage of the thermally conductive sheet when the metal plate is removed is 0.15 mm or more and 1.30 mm or less.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PANEL WITH A DOUBLER
Disclosed is a panel for an aircraft structure, including a laminated skin of layers of metal of which in each case two are joined together by a fibre-reinforced adhesive layer, as well as a laminated doubler of layers of metal and at least one fibre-reinforced adhesive layer in each case between two layers of metal, wherein the doubler has a smaller size of perimeter than the skin and is bonded to an outermost layer of metal of the laminated skin by a fibre-reinforced supplementary adhesive layer, with the feature that at least one part of the perimeter of the fibre-reinforced supplementary adhesive layer is staggered inwards relative to the corresponding perimeter of the doubler and that that part of the inwards-staggered perimeter of the fibre-reinforced supplementary adhesive layer is delimited by a glued edge. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing such a panel.
Thermally expandable sheet production method and shaped object production method
A thermally expandable sheet includes: a first thermally expansive layer that is formed on one side of a base and contains a first thermally expandable material; and a second thermally expansive layer that is formed on the first thermally expansive layer and contains a second thermally expandable material, wherein the second thermally expandable material further contains white pigment.
LAMINATED GLAZING
A bent laminated glazing, in particular for a motor vehicle windscreen, includes a first glass sheet adhesively bonded to a second glass sheet by a lamination interlayer, the first glass sheet including a face, referred to as face 2, facing the lamination interlayer, and the second glass sheet including a face, referred to as face 4, opposite the lamination interlayer, wherein the face 2 includes a region, referred to as first region, coated with a layer of opaque mineral paint obtained from an aqueous paint composition including pigments and an aqueous solution of alkali metal silicate, and the face 4 includes a region, referred to as second region, coated with an enamel coating.
METHOD OF FORMING A GLASS ARTICLE AND THE GLASS ARTICLE FORMED THEREBY
A method of forming a glass article includes providing a first glass sheet. The first glass sheet is heated to a temperature suitable for shaping. The first glass sheet is deposited on a first bending tool. An edge portion of the first glass sheet is disposed over a shaping surface of the first bending tool. The shaping surface of the first bending tool is configured to provide in the first glass sheet a compression area and a tension area. The first glass sheet is shaped on the first bending tool and the compression area is formed in the edge portion of the first glass sheet. The compression area includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a width which is greater than a width of a second portion.
TRANSPARENT, POLYESTER FILM WITH SMOOTH SURFACE ON ONE SIDE AND COMPRISING POLYMETHYLSILSESQUIOXANE-BASED PARTICLES
An at least three-layer biaxially oriented polyester film is provided that includes a layer B, a rough outer layer A and a smooth outer layer C, with the outer layers A and C each being external layers arranged on the opposite surfaces of the base layer B. The outer layer A includes polymethylsilsesquioxane-based particles, the outer layer C includes less than 0.1% by weight of particles different from the polymethylsilsesquioxane-based particles. The polyester film contains no 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic-acid-derived units as repeat unit, and the film includes less than 0.1% by weight of particles. The polyesters in the outer layers comprise isophthalic acid-derived repeat units in an amount of <19% by weight. The invention further relates to a process for to produce the film and to its use as process film for the transfer of surface properties, especially for furniture surfaces.
Security element and method for producing the same
The present invention relates to a security element for a security paper, a valuable article or the like having a substrate (1), the substrate being at least partially furnished with a coating (2) that is substantially tack free at room temperature, and the coating (2) including at least one radiation-crosslinkable component.
Toilet pan body and its method of manufacturing
A ceramic toilet pan having a raised rear portion to which a hinge tube may be accurately located and fixed in position for example by adhesive using a jig despite variations in pan body size due to ceramic firing, a water pump and air pump being provided for flushing the toilet pan when a seat and lid are in a closed position. The seat and lid are rotationally mounted to the pan by a horizontal hinge pin located in the hinge tube and a latch member is provided for latching the lid and seat closed.
