A multilayer article comprising at least a first layer of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) resin composition, a second layer of a TPU resin composition and a core layer between the first layer and the second layer, the core layer comprising a barrier resin composition, wherein the barrier resin composition comprises an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) (A), a hydroxyl group containing compound (B) having a molecular weight of 200 or less, a ratio of a number of hydroxyl groups in one molecule relative to the molecular weight within a range of form 0.02 to 0.03, and a melting point of from about 23° C. to about 200° C., and a fatty acid metal salt (C), the multilayer article having good elasticity, stretchability and barrier properties suitable for use in chemical suits and gloves.
FOAM SHEET CORE FOR COMPOSITE SANDWICH STRUCTURES AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A foam sheet core, including a plurality of foam sheet walls defining an array of hollow cells, wherein the plurality of foam sheet walls are bonded together to form the array of hollow cells, each of the plurality of foam sheet walls has a thickness from about 0.002 inches to about 0.08 inches, and each of the plurality of foam sheet walls has an average height from about 0.05 inches to about 5 inches.
Ceiling panel for suspended ceilings
A ceiling panel for use in a gridwork of a suspended ceiling is provided. The ceiling panel includes a layer of foam insulation. A first facing sheet is positioned on a lower major face of the layer of foam insulation and a second facing sheet is positioned on an upper major face of the layer of foam insulation. A surface covering layer is positioned on an exposed face of the first facing sheet.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYER COMPOSITE FILM, MULTI-LAYER COMPOSITE FILM, AND USE THEREOF
A method is for producing a coextruded and biaxially stretched composite film using a novel combination of stretching and relaxation steps. A corresponding composite film has little or no shrinkage.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYESTER FILM FOR EMBOSSING
A method for manufacturing a polyester film for embossing that is made from a recycled polyester material. A part of the recycled polyester material is physically reproduced to obtain physically regenerated polyester chips. The physically regenerated polyester chips include physically regenerated regular polyester chips. Another part of the recycled polyester material is chemically reproduced to obtain chemically regenerated polyester chips. The chemically regenerated polyester chips include chemically regenerated regular polyester chips and chemically regenerated electrostatic pinning polyester chips. The physically regenerated polyester chips and the chemically regenerated polyester chips are mixed to form a base material. The base material is used to form a base layer that having a main component of regenerated polyethylene terephthalate. A surface coating layer is formed onto the base layer. A material of the surface coating layer includes a main resin, fillers, and melamine.
INTERLAYER FILM FOR LAMINATED GLASS, AND LAMINATED GLASS
Provided is an interlayer film for laminated glass capable of suppressing generation of a gap in the interlayer film in end parts of the laminated glass although the interlayer film in which an increment in thickness is not constant from one end to the other end is used. An interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention contains a light stabilizer, and an oxidation inhibitor, and has one end, and the other end being at an opposite side of the one end and having a larger thickness than the one end, and the interlayer film for laminated glass has an increment not constant in thickness from the one end to the other end.
Joiners, methods of joining, and related systems for additive manufacturing
Joiners, methods of joining, and related systems for additive manufacturing are provided. The method of joining includes bulk depositing, by an additive manufacturing tool head, a joiner (anchor) of a second material in a receptacle in a body of a first material. Also, the method of joining includes depositing an anchor layer of a third material upon the anchor. Networks of joiners in 3D printed parts, multi-material parts comprising joiners, computer program products for providing joiners, joiner systems including trolleys, and related methods and systems are also provided. Further provided is a system, and method, for securing a part to a build platform and separating the part from the build platform.
Insulation sheet, laminate, and substrate
An electrical insulation sheet comprising a resin composition layer, wherein one surface side has a higher relative permittivity at a frequency of 1 MHz than the relative permittivity of an other surface side, and a circuit pattern is formed on the one surface side, a laminated body comprising the electrical insulation sheet and a metal plate on a metal base plate in that order, wherein a circuit pattern is formed on the metal plate, and a substrate comprising the electrical insulation sheet and a metal plate on a metal base plate in that order, wherein the metal plate has a circuit pattern.
Breathable multi-component exhaust insulation system
A breathable, multi-layer exhaust insulation system is provided. The system includes a multi-layer sleeve, wherein the first layer, which is positioned adjacent the exhaust system pipes, is a braided sleeve which may be constructed from high-temperature resistant materials such as e-glass, s-glass, silica or ceramic. Additional braided layers of material may be included, as well. An outside cover of material is preferably a circular knitted fabric that contains glass fibers and resin-based fibers. The knitted fabric forms a tube on the outside of the insulating layers, and may be formed from a core spun yarn, which includes a glass filament core and a high-melt fiber on the wrap. Optionally, the system may also include a perforated or unperforated metal foil layer and/or a tape wrap, and the various components may be configured as desired.
Impact-resistant material and pad
Impact-resistant materials and pads are disclosed. An impact-resistant material includes a first elastomer layer having a first density, a second elastomer layer having a second density higher than the first density, a layer of high-tensile strength fibrous material, and a polymer layer. These layers are preferably be arranged in the order in which they are recited. These layers may also be included in an impact-resistant pad configured to be worn by a user. The first elastomer layer is positioned directly adjacent the user when the pad is worn by the user.
