SHAFT FOR ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES
The present disclosure relates to a shaft for athletic activities comprising, along at least a part of the length of the shaft: an internal wall (31) made of a first fiber-reinforced composite; and an external wall (30), fixed to the internal wall, and made of a second fiber-reinforced composite, wherein one or more cavities (32A, 32B, 32C) are present between the internal wall and the external wall.
SANDWICH STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sandwich structure that has both excellent heat dissipation properties and excellent mechanical properties. In order to achieve this purpose, the sandwich structure of the present invention has the following structure. The sandwich structure includes a core member (I), and a fiber reinforced member (II) disposed on both sides of the core member (I), wherein the core member (I) includes a sheet-shaped heat conductive member (III) having an in-plane thermal conductivity of 300 W/m.K or more.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL TAPE, AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A three dimensional tape that may be used as a top sheet and a backsheet for a sanitary product, particularly a baby diaper or a sanitary pad. The three dimensional tape allows manufacturing of comparatively thinner, fluffless sanitary products with an improved comfort for the user. Manufacturing of the tape may be accomplished in-line, thereby dispensing with all of the logistics burden from outsourced products, and all of the environmental impact the logistics come with.
GLASS MAT FACED GYPSUM BOARD AND GYPSUM SLURRY FORMED USING A PHOSPHORUS CONTAINING COMPOUND
In general, the present invention is directed to the use of particular phosphorus containing compounds for making a glass mat faced gypsum board. The phosphorus containing compound may be a phosphite or a phosphate having a certain formula. In this regard, the present invention is directed to a glass mat faced gypsum board including a gypsum core that is formed from a gypsum slurry comprising such phosphorus containing compound. The present invention is also directed to a method of making a glass mat faced gypsum board.
FABRIC CONTAINING UNIDIRECTIONAL REINFORCEMENT FIBRE
A fabric and a method for making the same. The fabric includes a layer of unidirectionally oriented carbon fibre filaments sandwiched between a first layer of glass fibre rovings and a second layer of glass fibre rovings. The first layer of glass fibre rovings and the second layer of glass fibre rovings are linked by a connecting material.
CORE MATERIAL AND STRUCTURE
A honeycomb-like core member that can be easily manufactured is disclosed, and a structure using such core member is disclosed. The core member has a plurality of flat plate members (a plurality of first flat plates and a plurality of second flat plates), each of which includes a comb teeth portion that has a plurality of notches, which are open in the long side of a rectangular shape of the flat plate member and extend parallel to the short side of the rectangular shape of the flat plate member. The notches are engaged with each other so that the plate members cross each other, and thus, a plurality of hexagonal-cylinder-shaped first cylinder portions and a plurality of triangular-cylinder-shaped second cylinder portions are formed by the plate members.
PROTECTIVE FILM FOR LITHIUM ELECTRODE AND LITHIUM ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING SAME
The present disclosure provides a protective film for a lithium electrode and a lithium electrode for a lithium secondary battery including the same. The protective film includes a first layer, which includes polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyacrylic acid (PAA) and is porous, and a second layer, which is disposed on the first layer, includes a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer, and is porous.
Impregnated cloth
A knitted spacer fabric has a tightly knitted bottom layer, a more loosely knitted upper layer and linking fibres extending across the space between the lower and upper faces. Settable material, e.g. cement, is introduced into the space between the upper and lower faces and can be caused to set by the addition of a liquid, e.g. water. Until set, the fabric is flexible and can be shaped but after the material in space has set, the fabric is rigid and can be used as a structural element in a wide range of situations. The bottom layer has an extension that extends beyond the upper face and is connected to the upper face by elastic connecting fibres that draw the extension towards the other face, thereby at least partly closing the space at the edge of the cloth and preventing the settable material from spilling out. In addition, the packing of the settable material and maximum space between the faces are such that only a predetermined amount of liquid can be accommodated within the space and that amount is matched to the water required to set the cement.
Adaptive microtexturing of a composite material
An article including a composite including a subsurface structure and a second phase of material forming a coating on the subsurface structure. The coating includes a first region defining a first plurality of microtextures in an outer surface of the coating, where the first plurality of microtextures include an average bore width of less than about 250 micrometers (μm) and a first average bore depth, and a second region positioned adjacent to the first region wherein the coating defines a second plurality of microtextures on the outer surface of the coating, where the second plurality of microtextures include an average bore width of less than about 250 μm and a second average bore depth less than the first average bore depth.
AIRBAG AND AIRBAG MODULE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN AIRBAG WOVEN AS A SINGLE PIECE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN AIRBAG MODULE
The invention describes an airbag (10), in particular a head side airbag (10) or a head-thorax side airbag, including at least two opposite fabric layers (12, 14) which form at least one inner wall (13) and one outer wall (15) of the airbag (10), wherein the airbag (10) is manufactured in one piece by a multi-layer weaving process in which the fabric layers (12, 14) are interwoven at least in a peripheral region (16), with a gas generator mount (18) for an external gas generator (20) being disposed in either of the two fabric layers (12, 14). The invention further describes an airbag module (8) comprising an airbag (10) according to the invention as well as a method for manufacturing a one-piece-woven airbag (10) and a method for manufacturing an airbag module (8).
