Directionally reinforced products and related method
A stitch-bonded tape or other directionally stabilized product wherein stitch-bonding is carried out by overstitching yarns stitched through a sheeting or other surface substrate in conjunction with the introduction of high tenacity lay-in yarn elements disposed longitudinally in the machine direction of formation to provide strength in the length direction. The overstitching yarns secure the lay-in yarns in place relative to the surface substrate. An adhesive or other coating is disposed in covering relation to the lay-in yarn elements.
Method of manufacturing metal-clad laminate and uses of the same
A method of manufacturing a metal-clad laminate and uses of the same are provided. The method comprises the following steps: (a) impregnating a reinforcement material with a first fluoropolymer solution, and drying the impregnated reinforcement material under a first temperature to obtain a first prepreg; (b) impregnating the first prepreg with a second fluoropolymer solution, and drying the impregnated first prepreg under a second temperature to obtain a second prepreg; and (c) laminating the second prepreg and a metal-clad to obtain a metal-clad laminate, wherein the first fluoropolymer solution has a first fluoropolymer, the second fluoropolymer solution has a second fluoropolymer, and the first fluoropolymer and the second fluoropolymer are different.
Belt comprising a fabric with bilateral satin weave
A belt includes at least one fabric having a first face and a second face parallel to a longitudinal plane of the belt, wherein the fabric includes: a first weft layer formed by a plurality of multifilament weft yarns essentially parallel to each other; a second weft layer formed by a plurality of monofilament weft yarns essentially parallel to each other, wherein the multifilament weft yarns of the first weft layer are overlapped with respective monofilament weft yarns of the second weft layer; and a plurality of multifilament warp yarns wherein the fabric has a weft dominance satin weave on both sides.
Fiber composite and preparing method of the same
The present invention relates to a fiber composite for a strain sensor and a method for producing the same. The composite includes a stretchable fiber; a conductive elastic polymer layer coated on the stretchable fiber; polymer beads disposed on the stretchable fiber or on the elastic polymer layer; and a conductive elastic polymer layer covering the polymer beads. The fiber composite is durable and stable. Therefore, a strain sensor produced using the fiber composite exhibits excellent durability, recoverability, repeatability and sensitivity, and a fast sensing speed.
Infrared stealth cloth and infrared stealth clothes based on carbon nanotube
An infrared stealth cloth includes a cloth substrate and an infrared light absorber located on the cloth substrate. The infrared light absorber includes a first drawn carbon nanotube film, a second drawn carbon nanotube film, and a third drawn carbon nanotube film stacked on each other. The first drawn carbon nanotube film includes a plurality of first carbon nanotubes substantially extending along a first direction. The second drawn carbon nanotube film includes a plurality of second carbon nanotubes substantially extending along a second direction. The third drawn carbon nanotube film includes a plurality of third carbon nanotubes substantially extending along a third direction. The first direction and the second direction form an angle of about 42 degrees to about 48 degrees, and the first direction and the third direction form an angle of about 84 degrees to about 96 degrees.
HOT MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a hot melt adhesive composition having an enthalpy of crystallization below 5 J/g and comprising: a) at least 60% by weight of a composition a) comprising: —at least one copolymer A having a needle penetration higher than 15 dmm; —at least (co)polymer B having a needle penetration lower than 15 dmm; b) from 0% to 30% by weight of at least one tackifying resin.
Natural nonwoven materials
There is described a nonwoven material comprising a multilayered stack, the multilayered stack comprising discrete interconnected layers, each of the layers, which may be the same or different, comprising a composite fibre of from about 80 to 100% w/w leaf or stem fibre and from about 1 to 20% w/w of a polymer, wherein the polymer is fusible at a temperature of about 180° C. or less. There is also described a novel method of enzyme degumming leaf and/or stem fibres.
