ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND COMPONENTS THEREOF HAVING IMPROVED SOFTNESS SIGNALS, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING
An absorbent article having improved softness signals is disclosed. The article may include a topsheet or a backsheet including a nonwoven web. The web may have a basis weight of 30 gsm or less, may be formed of spunlaid fibers including polyolefin and up to 5 percent by weight TiO.sub.2, and may be impressed with a pattern of bond impressions to a bond area percentage of at least 10 percent forming a pattern of bonded regions and raised regions. The web may have opacity of 42 or greater; have an average height difference between bonded regions and raised regions of at least 280 μm; be hydroengorged; and/or have a cross-machine direction tensile strength of 350 gf/cm. A nonwoven web manufactured to have a suitable combination of such features exhibits an enhanced appearance of softness, soft tactile feel and satisfactory mechanical attributes, while being relatively cost effective.
PRESSURE AUTO-ADJUSTING PACKAGE FOR HEATED FOOD
In a pressure auto-adjusting package for a heated food and a composite membrane thereof, the composite membrane includes a first membrane coated with a partial release layer thereon in a predetermined width, a second membrane provided with a cutting line corresponding to the partial release layer, and a glue layer disposed between the first membrane and the second membrane to glue the first membrane and the second membrane together, the first membrane and the second membrane are pseudo-glued at the position of the partial release layer, the cutting line of the second membrane is disposed at a heat seal opening and extends to the accommodating space. The package has a pressure generated therein when being heated, the pressure enters into a pseudo-glued area between the second membrane and the first membrane from the cutting line to form a gap where the pressure is released to prevent explosion.
Non-wicking underlayment board
A non-wicking underlayment board and methods for forming the same. The non-wicking underlayment board includes a foam core formed of closed cell foam with reinforcement layers encapsulated within the foam core. Outer facings formed of mineral coated nonwoven fibers are positioned on opposite faces of the non-wicking underlayment panel. The non-wicking underlayment board is useful for efficient and cost effective installation of barriers and surfaces in water-resistant and waterproof environments.
Packaging laminate and packaging container for a fermented liquid milk product
Packaging laminate for a packaging container for a fermented liquid milk product, such as soured milk, yogurt and crème fraîche. The packaging laminate has a paper layer, and outer liquid-tight layers on both sides of the paper layer. One of the outer layers of the packaging laminate has a whey protein surface coating.
SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT AND USE THEREOF
The disclosure relates to a blank-shaped or strip-shaped semi-finished product comprising at least one first metal layer and at least one plastics layer, which are joined over their full area to one another to form a metal/plastic composite. The material thickness of the metal layer being is not more than 1.5 mm. The material thickness of the plastics layer is at least 0.2 mm. A method for producing said product is also provided. One object of the present invention, of providing a semi-finished product which is significantly lighter than the semi-finished products used in the prior art, is achieved for a semi-finished product.
Scalable storage device
Implementations described and claimed herein provide a high-capacity, high-bandwidth scalable storage device. The scalable storage device includes a layer stack including at least one memory layer and at least one optical control layer positioned adjacent to the memory layer. The memory layer includes a plurality of memory cells and the optical control layer is adapted to receive optically-encoded read/write signals and to effect read and write operations to the plurality of memory cells through an electrical interface.
BIODEGRADABLE AND/OR HOME COMPOSTABLE SACHET CONTAINING A SOLID ARTICLE
A sachet product that includes a biodegradable and/or home compostable sachet comprising a front film and a back film. In some examples, the front film and back film can include a middle layer that can contain paper with greater than 85% cellulose and an inner layer that can include different material, including but not limited to polyvinyl alcohol or polyhydroxylalkonate. The sachet can include a compartment adapted for storing a solid article where the solid article is an open cell foam. The open cell foam can include a water-soluble polymer and a surfactant.
GLASS SHEET COMPOSITE
A glass sheet composite having two or more glass sheets and a liquid layer between at least a pair of glass sheets out of the glass sheets, wherein a thickness of the liquid layer is 1/10 or less of a total thickness of the pair of glass sheets when a total thickness of the pair of glass sheets is 1 mm or less, and 100 μm or less when the total thickness of the pair of glass sheets is more than 1 mm.
RESILIENT FLOORING PRODUCT AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Described herein are resilient floor coverings produced by using digitally printed UV-cured inks and exhibiting high adhesion properties between an ink layer and a wear layer. Also described herein are methods for manufacturing same. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
ACTIVE POUCHES AND METHODS OF USE
Described herein are active pouches for obtaining selected release rates of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) therefrom. A pouch is a sealed thermoplastic containment or envelope defining an interior volume that is excluded from free exchange with the atmosphere, yet is permeable to both 1-MCP gas and water vapor. The active pouches enclose and contain a clathrate of 1-methylcyclopropene with α-cyclodextrin (1-MCP/CD). The rate of 1-MCP release from an active pouch subjected to a selected set of humidity-mediated disgorgement conditions may be varied by varying the interior volume of the active pouch relative to the amount of 1-MCP/CD contained within the active pouch.
