Flexible display device and method of manufacturing window member for the same
A flexible display device includes: a display panel to generate an image; and a window member on the display panel, the window member including: a base film; and a polymer layer including a first part and a plurality of second parts having lower hardness than that of the first part.
COMPOSTABLE LAMINATE STRUCTURE
A compostable laminate for food wrap and method for making same. The wrap can include a first layer of paper material, a second layer of paper material, and a series of coatings between the paper materials. The coatings include a first flood coating having water and/or barrier properties, a second flood coating having water and/or oil barrier properties, and a third coating that only partially covers the second flood coating. None of the first, second and third coatings comprise a thermoplastic or polyolefin, and are made substantially from one or more biodegradable and/or compostable materials.
LAMINATE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
An object of the invention is to provide a novel laminate and a novel image display device which have both of a gas barrier function and a polarizer function and have a reduced thickness as compared to those in the related art. A laminate of the invention has a laminate which has a substrate, an inorganic layer, and an organic layer, and the organic layer contains an organic dichroic pigment.
Curable prepregs with surface openings
Curable prepregs possessing enhanced ability for the removal of gases from within prepregs and between prepreg plies in a prepreg layup prior to and/or during consolidation and curing. Each curable prepreg is a resin-impregnated, woven fabric that has been subjected to a treatment to create an array of openings in at least one major surface. Furthermore, the location of the openings is specific to the weave pattern of the fabric.
Fire retardant laminates
Fire retardant laminates including a textile layer, a protective layer, and a fire retardant are provided. The protective layer includes a porous membrane and a coating layer. The porous membrane is positioned between the textile layer and the coating layer. The fire retardant includes one or more phosphonate esters of the general formula: ##STR00001##
where n=0 or 1, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl, R.sub.3 is H or C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl, and R.sub.4 is a linear or branched alkyl. At least a portion of the phosphonate ester in the fire retardant laminate resides in the coating layer. The fire retardant laminates are suitable for use in protective garments that provide full flammability and burn protection, even after exposure to flammable materials such as petroleum, oils, and lubricants. A method of rendering the fire retardant laminate fire retardant is also provided.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE FILM
Embodiments provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive film having (α) a poly(meth)acrylimide-based resin film layer and (γ) a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent layer in that order from the surface layer side and having a total light transmittance of 80% or higher. The pressure-sensitive adhesive film may further have (δ) a hard coat layer on the surface layer side of the poly(meth)acrylimide-based resin film layer (α). This hard coat layer (δ) may comprise an active energy ray-curable resin composition that contains (A) 100 parts by mass of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate; (B) 0.2-4 parts by mass of a compound having an alkoxysilyl group and a (meth)acryloyl group; (C) 0.05-3 parts by mass of organic titanium; and (D) 5-100 parts by mass of fine particles having an average particle diameter of 1-300 nm. This active energy ray-curable resin composition may further contain (E) 0.01-7 parts by mass of a water-repelling agent.
CURABLE COMPOSITION, RESIST MATERIAL AND RESIST FILM
A problem of The present invention is to provide a curable composition capable of forming a resist which can be easily washed after curing and which has high dry etching resistance and excellent precision of fine pattern transfer, also provide a resist film and a laminate each containing the curable composition, and further provide a pattern forming method using the resist film. The problem of the present invention can be solved by providing a curable composition containing a multifunctional polymerizable monomer (A) which has two or more groups having a polymerizable group and has at least one group Q having a polymerizable group represented by formula (1) below, the amount of silicon atoms in an nonvolatile content being 10 wt % or more.
VENEERED ELEMENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SUCH A VENEERED ELEMENT
A veneered element, including a substrate, a wood veneer layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface being opposite to the second surface, an adhesive layer adapted to adhere the first surface of the wood veneer layer to a surface of the substrate, wherein adhesive from the adhesive layer is present in a first portion of the wood veneer layer, extending from the first surface of the wood veneer layer into the wood veneer layer, and wherein the second surface of the wood veneer layer is substantially free from adhesive from the adhesive layer. Also, a method of producing such a veneered element).
Packaging material for packaging of light-sensitive goods and method for producing said packaging material
A packaging material for packaging of light-sensitive goods, said packaging material comprising a first layer and a second layer, at least one hole penetrating said first layer and being covered by said second layer, and a light barrier, wherein said light barrier comprises a layer of ink being essentially nontransparent to light and provided on said second layer to at least partly cover said hole. The disclosure further relates to a method for providing a light barrier covering a hole in a packaging material as well as to a package for packaging of light-sensitive goods.
