Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a sealed storage tank. The sealed storage tank includes a first film. The first film includes a first polymeric layer having a thickness in a range of from about 0.05 mm to about 1 mm. The first film further includes a first fibrous scrim layer directly contacting the first polymeric layer. The first fibrous scrim layer has a denier value in a range of from about 500 denier to about 1500 denier. The sealed storage tank further includes a second film. The second film includes a second polymeric layer having a thickness in a range of from about 0.05 mm to about 1 mm. The second film further includes a second fibrous scrim layer directly contacting the second polymeric layer. The second fibrous scrim layer has a denier value in a range of from about 500 denier about 1500 denier.

Provided is an antimicrobial composite comprising a top layer having a polypropylene film impregnated with elemental silver, a silver compound, or a mixture thereof, the top layer having a thickness between 33 μm and 77 μm, and the top layer having a mass between 30.36 and 70.84 grams per square meter; a second layer beneath the top layer, the second layer having a standard twill weave translucent material, having a thickness between 0.09 mm and 0.21 mm, and having a mass between 81.6 and 190.4 grams per square meter; a third layer beneath the second layer, the third layer having a polypropylene film, having a thickness between 0.012 mm and 0.028 mm, and having a mass between 11.04 and 25.76 grams per square meter; and wherein the antimicrobial composite has a specific antimicrobial activity of at least 3.

A reinforced composite comprises: a reinforcement material comprising one or more of the following: a carbon fiber based reinforcing material; a fiberglass based reinforcing material; a metal based reinforcing material; or a ceramic based reinforcing material; and a carbon composite; wherein the carbon composite comprises carbon and a binder containing one or more of the following: SiO.sub.2; Si; B; B.sub.2O.sub.3; a metal; or an alloy of the metal; and wherein the metal is one or more of the following: aluminum; copper; titanium; nickel; tungsten; chromium; iron; manganese; zirconium; hafnium; vanadium; niobium; molybdenum; tin; bismuth; antimony; lead; cadmium; or selenium.

A floor element for forming a floor covering, wherein the floor element comprises a decorative layer made of a ceramic material and a support layer arranged below the decorative layer, wherein the support layer comprises edges provided with coupling elements configured to allow a mechanical coupling with coupling elements of an adjacent floor element and wherein the floor element comprises an intermediate layer having a resin material that permeates a lower surface of the decorative layer. A method for manufacturing a floor element, comprising the steps of: (i) providing a decorative layer made of a ceramic material; (II) providing a support layer; (iii) providing a resin material for bonding the decorative layer and the support layer together; (iv) pressing the layers together for forming the floor element such that the resin material permeates the ceramic layer.
Laminates comprising reinforced aerogel composites
The present disclosure can provide an aerogel composite. The aerogel composite comprises at least one base layer having a top surface and a bottom surface, the base layer comprising a reinforced aerogel composition which comprises a reinforcement material and a monolithic aerogel framework, a first facing layer comprising a first facing material attached to the top surface of the base layer, and a second facing layer comprising a second facing material attached to the bottom surface of the base layer. At least a portion of the monolithic aerogel framework of the base layer extends into at least a portion of both the first facing layer and the second facing layer. The first facing material and the second facing material can each comprise or consist essentially of elastic fibers such as spandex, nylon, lycra, elastane, or combinations thereof.
PRINTED ELASTOMERIC ELEMENTS
An article of manufacture, such as a weighted blanket, a cushioning element, or the like, includes an elastomeric element that includes elongated elements that follow nonlinear, partially overlapping paths and voids between adjacent portions of the elongated elements. Such an elastomeric element may define a weighted layer of a weighted blanket, a cushioning layer of a cushioning element of the like. The elastomeric element may be secured directly to a substrate, such as a fabric layer. Alternatively, an adhesion layer may secure the elastomeric element to the substrate. An adhesion layer may cover only a portion of the substrate. A cover may be provided over the elastomeric element. Together, the cover and the substrate may contain the elastomeric element.
TACKY POLYURETHANE COMPOSITES
A number of tacky polyurethane or other gel comprising composites are provided. The composites have foam carriers, which may be open cell, semi-open cell, reticulated or closed-cell foam. The tacky gel which, in one embodiment, may be polyurethane, typically comprising a thin surface coating on the foam gel and the foam is partially or fully saturated with the same gel comprising the thin surface layer of the foam. The skeletons may be included in the composite to provide additional structure integrity, and a moisture proof layer may be added to the top and/or bottom surfaces of the foam/gel.
