The prepreg layer further includes a release paper coated with the curable bottom base resin formulation to obtained curable bottom base resin formulation coated release paper as a first resin film; a reinforcement fabric; an outer resin formulation including an outer resin, wherein the outer resin is the curable bottom base resin being 10% more viscous than a resin, at least one thermoplastic toughening agent, at least one accelerator, at least one curing agent and at least one hardener agent.
PATCH PRODUCT BASED ON NATURAL POLYMERS
The patch product comprises a membrane substrate suitable to be absorbed by the skin and based on natural polymers, as well as at least one active ingredient. It can be packaged in a wrapping comprising a support base, on which the patch product is placed, and a coating layer that acts as protection for the patch product.
Composite PVC-free sheet for a wallcovering with improved application on the wall properties
According to embodiments of the invention a composite sheet for a wallcovering comprises a base layer and a top layer bond to the base layer made of polyolefin compound and further may comprise an additional layer. The base layer, the polyolefin layer and in some embodiments the additional layer are such that it is possible to avoid wet curling of a polyolefin type wallcovering during wet hanging process.
Systems and methods for forming short-fiber films, composites comprising thermosets, and other composites
The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for composites, including short-fiber films and other composites. In certain aspects, composites comprising a plurality of aligned fibers are provided. The fibers may be substantially aligned, and may be present at relatively high densities within the composite. For example, the composite may include substantially aligned carbon fibers embedded within a thermoplastic substrate. The composites may be prepared, in some aspects, by dispersing fibers by neutralizing the electrostatic interactions between the fibers, for example using aqueous liquids containing the fibers that are able to neutralize the electrostatic interactions that typically occur between the fibers. The liquids may be applied to a substrate, and the fibers may be aligned using techniques such as shear flow and/or magnetism. Other aspects are generally directed to methods of using such composites, kits including such composites, or the like.
Footwear plate
A method of forming a plate for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes applying a first strand portion to a base layer including positioning adjacent segments of the first strand portion to form a first layer on the base layer. The adjacent segments of the first strand portion having a greater density across a width of the plate between a medial side and a lateral side at a forefoot region of the plate than at a midfoot region of the plate and at a heel region of the plate. The method also includes applying at least one of heat and pressure to the first strand portion and to the base layer to conform the first strand portion and the base layer to a predetermined shape.
Method for polishing using polishing pad provided with adsorption layer
A polishing method using a polishing pad including a specific adsorption layer. The polishing pad has an adsorption layer including a silicone including linear polyorganosiloxane having vinyl groups only at both ends, and the like. The polishing pad is fixed to a surface plate, and a product to be polished is pressed against the polishing pad, and simultaneously slid to polish the product to be polished. In this case, the surface roughness (Ra) of the surface plate is set to 0.01 to 0.7 μm, and the adsorption layer of the polishing pad is then adsorbed and fixed to the surface plate to perform polishing work. By adjusting the surface roughness of the surface plate as described above, a surface of the product to be polished can be inhibited from being unpredictably scratched or roughened. The method for adjusting the surface roughness of the surface plate is preferably a method in which a film having a surface roughness as described above is bonded to a surface of the surface plate.
Method for producing a planar composite component and composite component produced thereby
A method for producing a planar composite component having a core layer (B), which is arranged between and integrally bonded to two cover layers (A, A′), wherein the cover layers contain a cover-layer thermoplastic and wherein the core layer contains a core-layer thermoplastic, comprises the following steps: a) a heated stack with layer sequence A-B-A′ is provided; b) the heated stack (A-B-A′) is pressed; c) the pressed stack is cooled, whereby the planar composite component with consolidated layers integrally bonded to each other is formed. To improve the production method including the producibility of planar 3D components, it is proposed, that at least one of the cover layers (A, A′) in unconsolidated form comprises a fibrous nonwoven layer of 10 to 100 wt.-% thermoplastic fibers of the cover-layer thermo-plastic and 0 to 90 wt.-% of reinforcing fibers having an areal weight of 300 to 3,000 g/m.sup.2; the core layer (B) in unconsolidated form comprises at least one randomly-oriented-fiber nonwoven layer (D) formed from reinforcing fibers and thermoplastic fibers of the core-layer thermoplastic,
and that after the pressing the consolidated core layer(s) has/have an air pore content of <5 vol.-% and the consolidated core layer has an air pore content of 20 to 80 vol-%.
