LOW DENSITY MICROSPHERES
Low-density thermoplastic expandable microspheres are disclosed. Various low-density structures, in particular, sandwich panels, based on foam prepared from the low-density microspheres, are also disclosed. Process of preparing low-density polymeric microspheres, per se, and the corresponding low-density structures, based on the microsphere foam, are also disclosed.
METHODS AND PRECURSORS FOR MANUFACTURING A PERFORATED COMPOSITE PART
Precursors and methods for manufacturing perforated composite parts are disclosed. An exemplary precursor (19) comprises structural fibres (24,28) embedded in a cured matrix material (24,26) and interposed between two removable plies (20). The precursor may also comprise a sacrificial fibre (28) extending through the removable plies (20), the matrix material (24,26) and between the structural fibres (24,28). An exemplary method comprises removing the removable plies (20) from the precursor (19) and removing the sacrificial fibre (28) from the precursor after removing the removable plies to form a through hole in the precursor (19) at a location of the sacrificial fibre (28).
RUNNING SHOES, HIKING SHOES AND BOOTS, SNOWBOARD BOOTS, ALPINE BOOTS, HIKING BOOTS, AND THE LIKE, HAVING WATERPROOF/BREATHABLE MOISTURE TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS
The waterproof/breathable moisture transfer liner for a running and hiking shoe includes an inner liner selected from technically advanced fabrics which are carefully selected. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material layers, breathable membranes, a supportive mesh or a moldable foam, and an outer shell fabric. The applicability of the liner to alpine, snowboard boots, cross country, hiking boots, protective gear and helmets, along with appropriate variations for each application.
ALUMINUM ALLOY MATERIAL, BONDED BODY, MEMBER FOR AUTOMOBILES, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALUMINUM ALLOY MATERIAL
An aluminum alloy material is provided. The aluminum alloy material has excellent bonding durability and is not susceptible to decrease in the bonding strength even if exposed to a high-temperature humid environment. A bonded body, a member for automobiles, and a method for producing the aluminum alloy material are also provided. In the method for producing the aluminum alloy material, the etching amount is controlled to be less than 700 nm when a first film composed of an oxide film is formed on the surface of an aluminum alloy base; and after the formation of the first film by a treatment using an aqueous solution containing a silicate salt, which is the final stage of the substantial film formation, a second film having a siloxane bond is formed by performing a silane coupling treatment.
Soft, low lint, through air dried tissue and method of forming the same
A multi-ply through air dried structured tissue having a bulk softness of less than 10 TS7 and a lint value of 5.0 or less. Each ply of the tissue has a first exterior layer that includes a wet end temporary wet strength additive in an amount of approximately 0.25 kg/ton and a wet end dry strength additive in an amount of approximately 0.25 kg/ton, an interior layer that includes a first wet end additive comprising an ionic surfactant, and a second wet end additive comprising a non-ionic surfactant, and a second exterior layer.
Curable composition, prepreg, resin sheet, metal foil-clad laminate and printed wiring board
A curable composition containing an alkenyl phenol A, an epoxy-modified silicone B, and an epoxy compound C other than the epoxy-modified silicone B.
Stretch laminate, method of making, and absorbent article
A stretch laminate includes a first layer including an elastomer film, the first layer having a surface, and a second layer including a nonwoven material, the second layer having a surface that is attached to the surface of the first layer. The tensile behavior in the transverse direction of the stretch laminate is within about 2.5 N/cm of the tensile behavior in the transverse direction of the film at an engineering strain of about 1.5, and exists independent of mechanical activation. A method of making the stretch laminate and an absorbent article having at least one region defined by the stretch laminate are also provided.
LAMINATE, INTEGRATED MOLDING, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME
A laminate includes reinforcing fibers, thermosetting resin (B) or thermoplastic resin (D), wherein adhesion with other members, particularly in high-temperature atmospheres, is outstanding. The laminate includes: a porous substrate (C) comprising a thermoplastic resin (c), reinforcing fibers (A) and a thermosetting resin (B), or a porous substrate (C) comprising a thermoplastic resin (c), reinforcing fibers (A) and a thermoplastic resin (D); wherein the porous substrate (C) has a gap part continuous in the thickness direction of the laminate, and the melting point or softening point is higher than 180° C., and at least 10% of the surface area of one surface of the porous substrate (C) is exposed on one side of the laminate.
NONWOVEN APERTURED ELASTIC FILM WITH IMPROVED BONDING FEATURES
The present invention relates to a nonwoven composite comprising an elastic film bonded to a nonwoven web at a plurality of strategic, geometric bond points to provide a tactile pattern, enhanced breathability and comfort to the end user.
Decorative panel comprising an inductive coil
The present invention relates to a decorative panel, comprising a core layer provided with a decor layer, said décor layer comprising a substrate layer provided with at least one coating, wherein within said decorative panel at least one induction coil is located. The present invention furthermore relates to the use of such a decorative panel in indoor and/or outdoor furniture and in interior and/or exterior decoration.
