A continuous fiber reinforced resin composite material of the present disclosure is a continuous fiber reinforced resin composite material containing continuous reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin, wherein a peak temperature of tan δ at an interface between the continuous reinforcing fibers and the thermoplastic resin in the continuous fiber reinforced resin composite material is 80° C. or higher.

COMPOSITE STRUCTURE PROVIDED WITH A THERMAL PROTECTION DEVICE WITH HOLLOW FIBERS, IN PARTICULAR FOR A LIQUID HYDROGEN TANK

A composite structure is disclosed forming part of a wall of a liquid hydrogen tank, and including at least one thermal protection device having one or more of hollow fibers, such as to create thermal protection, for example a thermal barrier or a heat exchanger, which makes it possible to protect the composite structure in case of a high temperature gradient between the two faces thereof, while benefiting from the advantages of a composite material in terms of mass.

VEHICLE SEAT COVER

Disclosed are a vehicle seat cover made of an artificial suede. The vehicle seat cover includes a top layer provided in the top portion, a bottom layer provided in the bottom portion, and a intermediate layer positioned between the top layer and the bottom layer. Each of the layers has a tricot texture, and the top layer includes the first yarn having a configuration in which the dope dyed microfiber yarn and the first high shrinkage yarn are interlaced. Thus, the suede material may have superior friction fastness and the light fastness and the vehicle seat cover is manufactured at less cost than a vehicle seat cover made of a conventional artificial suede.

MATERIALS WITH VARYING FLEXURAL MODULUS

This invention relates generally to flexible materials, especially those made of carbon fiber. The materials exhibit a first flexural modulus over a first range of flexural strain and a second flexural modulus over a second range of flexural strain. The materials provide advantages when used in an article of manufacture in which the performance may be improved by having a different flexural modulus depending on the amount of flexural strain, and thus dislocation, of the material.

Sliding seismic isolation device

A sliding seismic isolation device includes a structure fixation plate having a first sliding surface and a metallic slider having a second sliding surface contacting the first sliding surface. A friction member composed of a single-layer fabric is attached to the first sliding surface, the second sliding surface, or both of the first sliding surface and the second sliding surface. One of a warp and a weft is formed of multiple plied yarns into which high-strength fibers and PTFE fibers are twisted together and the other of the warp and the weft is formed of multiple high-strength fibers in the single-layer fabric. The single-layer fabric has a twill weave and is woven such that the plied yarns of the one forming the single-layer fabric are exposed at a surface opposite from the attachment side of the friction member more than the high-strength fibers of the other forming the single-layer fabric.

TRANSPARENT COMPOSITE NANO-FIBRE BASED MULTI-LAYER TEXTILE

A composite multi-layer textile, comprising at least one nanofibre layer with nanofibres with diameters below 100 nm and one support layer with microfibres with diameters below three microns, wherein the layers were produced by electrospinning. The multi-layer textile shows a general transmittance at #=550 nm greater than 60%, which shows improved properties concerning transparency, breathability and robustness. This is achieved in that the at least one nanofibre layer and the support layer are fused, forming solid domains in the multi-layer textile, at closed areas of a pattern used in the production process, wherein the solid domains are separated from each other or connected, showing defined shapes, with regular or irregular spatial distribution, while the fibre morphology of nanofibres of the nanofibre layer and microfibres of support layer is preserved on top of the open areas beside the solid domains, attaining a general transmittance greater than that given by the sum of the individual layers.

BIODEGRADABLE FILTERS

In order to address the sustainability and environmental issues associated with conventional HVAC filters, inventive HVAC filters have been developed that are completely biodegradable and compostable and exhibit Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) ratings that are superior to conventional HVAC filters. More particularly, it has been discovered that biodegradable electrospun nanofibers can be used to produce biodegradable HVAC filters that exhibit superior filtration performance relative to conventional HVAC filters produced from polypropylene electrostatic media or triboelectric nonwoven media.
