Aerogel structure body and method of manufacturing the same
An aerogel structure body includes a composite layer containing fibrous materials and aerogel, the aerogel being held between the fibrous materials, and an aerogel layer having a first surface on at least one surface of the composite layer and formed of the aerogel, in which the aerogel layer having a second surface opposite to the first surface, the second surface including a projection portion projecting from the second surface, and a density of the aerogel in the projection portion is 0.1% to 3.0% higher than a density of the aerogel in the aerogel layer (flat portion) other than the projection portion. Therefore, the aerogel structure body that is excellent in dimensional stability and heat insulating properties and that can be manufactured with high productivity and a method of manufacturing the same are provided.
FIRE RESISTANT RUBBER COMPOSITIONS AND HOSE
Hoses include a tube, a reinforcement layer disposed outwardly from the tube, and a cover layer disposed outwardly from the reinforcement layer. The cover layer may be based on a first elastomeric blend of a first chlorinated polyethylene and chlorosulphonated polyethylene, a first flame-resistant composition, and a peroxide/sulfur curing system. The tube may be based upon a second elastomeric blend of a second chlorinated polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate rubber, a second flame-resistant composition, and a peroxide curing system. The first flame-resistant package and the second flame-resistant package includes one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of antimony oxide, zinc molybdate/magnesium silicate complex, magnesium aluminum hydroxy carbonate, and aluminum trihydroxide. In some aspects, the hoses meet the testing performance requirements of EN 45545-2, HL2/R22 category standard, and EN854 type 2TE standard.
Spill-resistant pet training pad
A pet training pad includes a central absorbent pad on top of a waterproof bottom layer. The waterproof bottom layer covers one side of the central absorbent pad. The pet training pad also includes a wicking material around a periphery of the central absorbent pad and/or one or more fringe barriers around a periphery of the central absorbent pad. A pet training pad manufacturing method involves cutting a bottom waterproof plastic layer, placing die-cut absorbent layers on the bottom plastic layer and laminating or adhering the absorbent layers to the bottom waterproof plastic layer to keep the absorbent layers together and positioned, layering roll cut first fringe borders and wicking edges on the bottom waterproof plastic layer around borders of the absorbent layers and securing them in place, and cutting to create a final shape.
ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SUPPRESSION SHEET AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
An electromagnetic wave suppression sheet includes an electromagnetic wave transmitting layer having conductivity and transparency; a suppression layer having transparency; a conductive mesh having openings formed by woven lines; and an adhesive layer having transparency in this order from an outer side toward an inner side. The openings of the conductive mesh have a region in which the suppression layer and the adhesive layer are in contact with each other. A method of manufacturing an electromagnetic wave suppression sheet includes steps of preparing a laminate including the suppression layer, and the conductive mesh disposed to be in contact with the suppression layer; and applying a pressure to the conductive mesh in a direction of the suppression layer.
Wet friction material with quaternary ammonium salts
A method of making a wet friction material includes joining filler particles and fibers together and forming a base; coating an outer surface of the base with a quaternary ammonium salt containing solution; and drying the quaternary ammonium salt containing solution to form a quaternary ammonium salt containing coating on the outer surface of the base.
SLIDING SEISMIC ISOLATION DEVICE
A sliding seismic isolation device includes a structure fixation plate having a first sliding surface and a metallic slider having a second sliding surface contacting the first sliding surface. A friction member composed of a single-layer fabric is attached to the first sliding surface, the second sliding surface, or both of the first sliding surface and the second sliding surface. One of a warp and a weft is formed of multiple plied yarns into which high-strength fibers and PTFE fibers are twisted together and the other of the warp and the weft is formed of multiple high-strength fibers in the single-layer fabric. The single-layer fabric has a twill weave and is woven such that the plied yarns of the one forming the single-layer fabric are exposed at a surface opposite from the attachment side of the friction member more than the high-strength fibers of the other forming the single-layer fabric.
Light and Thin Sound-Absorbing Material and Method of Manufacturing Same
An embodiment sound-absorbing material including a surface layer including low-melting (LM) fibers and melt-blown (MB) fibers and a sound-absorbing layer disposed on at least one side of the surface layer. An embodiment method of manufacturing a sound-absorbing material includes spinning melt-blown (MB) fibers, manufacturing a surface layer by mixing the melt-blown (MB) fibers with low-melting (LM) fibers, laminating a sound-absorbing layer on the surface layer, and hot-pressing a surface layer/sound-absorbing layer in which the sound-absorbing layer is laminated on the surface layer.
METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR INTELLIGENT COMPOSITE RENEWAL SYSTEM FOR STANDALONE, STORAGE, AND RENEWED PIPELINES, INCLUDING FOR REDUCED CARBON EMISSION AND FOR CONVERSION OF IN PLACE PIPELINES FOR CONVEYANCE OF HYDROGEN AND OTHER CLEAN FUELS
Methods and manufactures disclosed herein generally relate to a tubular composite (TCS) structure composed of multiple layers of sealing, reinforcement, sensing, protection and interspatial injected materials.
SCENTED AROMA INTEGRATED INTO POLYMER FIBERS OF MASK MEDIA
A face mask includes an aroma layer. The aroma layer includes one or more melt-blown layers or one or more scrim layers. The aroma layer includes a plurality of fibers with an aroma integrated therewith. The aroma layer includes an aroma layer outer side and an aroma layer inner side. The face mask includes an outer scrim layer and an inner scrim layer. The outer scrim layer is positioned adjacent the aroma layer outer side. The inner scrim layer is positioned adjacent the aroma layer inner side.
Absorbent Product with Improved Capillary Pressure and Saturation Capacity
A process for forming multi-layer fibrous web with good absorbent capacity and absorbent rate is disclosed. The multi-layer fibrous web can be used as absorbent articles, including wiping products, such as industrial wipers, food service wipers, and the like. The multi-layer fibrous web includes a first layer and a second layer, as well as a crossover zone, that has a capillary pressure between the capillary pressure of the first layer and the capillary pressure of the second layer.
