Methods for using an integrated scraper-sponge
Methods of using an integrated scraper-sponge having a scraper layer with and edge and fixed between the first and second sponge and/or abrasive layers. The scraper sponge is wetted and applied to a surface that is contaminated. The scraper-sponge is moved about the contaminated surface or dabbed onto the surface. The wet sponge portion loosens residue while the scraper edge scrapes residue from the surface as the scraper is moved about the contaminated surface.
Cellular structures with twelve-cornered cells
A structural component includes at least one wall surrounding a component interior space. The structural component also includes a first cellular structure positioned within the component interior space. The first cellular structure includes a plurality of cells each having a twelve-cornered cross section including twelve sides and twelve corners creating nine internal angles and three external angles.
Foam insulation with improved low temperature properties
A polyisocyanurate foam insulation product is produced from an isocyanate component, a polyol-containing component, and a blowing agent. The polyol-containing component includes a first polyol and a second polyol, a fire retardant, and one or more surfactants, wherein the first polyol and the second polyol have different hydroxyl numbers, or have different functionalities, or differ in both hydroxyl number and functionality. In some formulations, the polylol-containing component may include a fire retardant, a metallo-organinc compound, or combinations thereof. The cell size of the foam may be less than 120 microns. The polyol-containing component may include a mixture of polyols having different functionalities.
DIELECTRIC HEATING OF FOAMABLE COMPOSITIONS
A method for dielectrically heating foamable composition to foam and set the composition is described. In particular, radio frequency (RF) heating is used to heat the foamable composition to provide insulation in the manufacture of an article.
High temperature thermoplastic pre-impregnated structure for aircraft heated floor panel
A heated floor panel assembly for aircraft includes structural layers made of a fiber matrix and a high temperature thermoplastic resin. The structural layers are within the heated floor panel assembly to protect the other assembly components from damage and absorb stress. The heated floor panel assembly further includes a heating layer with a heating element, an impact layer, and a core layer to take shear stress exerted on the assembly.
Protective foam layer for activity surfaces
Foam pads and method for making foam pads for use under an activity surface which meet or exceed G-max and HIC criteria under ASTM F1292-17 for playground equipment at heights of at least 9 to 12 feet and/or wherein the thickness loss of such pads at approximately one hour after removal of a 75 lb./in..sup.2 load applied to the pad at 25% deflection for one hour pursuant to ASTM D3575-08 Suffix B is less than 7%.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LAMINATED PACKAGING MATERIAL, THE PACKAGING MATERIAL OBTAINED BY THE METHOD AND PACKAGING CONTAINERS MANUFACTURED THEREFROM
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a laminated cellulose-based liquid or semi-liquid food packaging material, wherein the laminated packaging material has a bulk material layer comprising a low-density cellulose spacer layer, an outside module comprising a substrate layer having a print surface and an inside material module comprising a barrier layer or barrier coating. The invention further relates the laminated packaging materials obtained by the method and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material or being made from the laminated packaging material obtained by the method.
GAS-PERMEABLE PLANAR STRUCTURE
The aim of the invention is to provide polymeric planar structures having good gas permeability, wherein a high variability with regard to the product design is made possible. This aim is achieved by means of a planar structure that comprises at least two directly successive layers, wherein the two directly successive layers are each independently from another a polymer foam or a film. At least one of the two directly successive layers has channels in the surface thereof facing the other layer, which extend from one of the edges bounding the interface plane formed by the two successive layers to another of these edges such that the channels have a free volume sufficient for vapor permeability. The invention further relates to a method for producing planar structures according to the invention, and to the use thereof.
THERMOPLASTIC ARTIFICIAL LEATHER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE LAMINATE
A thermoplastic artificial leather includes a thermoplastic composite laminate and a textile base. The thermoplastic composite laminate includes a foamed thermoplastic elastic layer, an unfoamed thermoplastic elastic layer and a thermoplastic adhesive layer. The foamed thermoplastic elastic layer has a first surface, a second surface and a plurality of foamed structures. The second surface is opposite to the first surface. The unfoamed thermoplastic elastic layer is disposed on the first surface of the foamed thermoplastic elastic layer. The thermoplastic adhesive layer is disposed on the second surface of the foamed thermoplastic elastic layer. The textile base is laminated on the thermoplastic adhesive layer of the thermoplastic composite laminate.
LIGHTWEIGHT FLAME RETARDANT THERMOPLASTIC STRUCTURES
Light weight thermoformable and flame retardant materials and structures for aviation and transportation applications in the form of foamed extrudate sheets of polycarbonate/polyphosphonate compounded into branched polycarbonate of high molecular weight with uniform foam cell geometry and flame retardancy.
