MULTI-LAYER LINER FOR WASTE WATER SYSTEM REHABILITATION
20190024359 · 2019-01-24 ·

A method and apparatus for rehabilitating or repairing waste water system components or the like comprising a spray-applied, multi-layer liner which seals the components and imparts structural integrity. The liner comprises a first moisture barrier layer, a foam layer and a second moisture barrier layer. A primer may be applied where desired. Typically, the first and second moisture barrier layers are made of the same material for forming a skin on both sides of the foam layer. The combination of the foam layer and the two moisture barrier layers imparts structural strength and rigidity to the cured liner.

A foam flooring includes a stone-plastic base material structure, which sequentially comprises, from top to bottom, a first stable layer, a foaming layer and a second stable layer. The first stable layer and the second stable layer are both sheets with a PVC resin and filler powder as main components, with 25-40 parts by mass of the PVC resin and 55-75 parts by mass of the filler powder; and the density of the SPC foam flooring is 1.4-1.6 g/cm3. The foaming layer is arranged between the two stable layers, such that the overall density of the flooring is significantly reduced and reaches 1.4-1.6 g/m3; since the foaming layer is arranged inside, the surface strength of the overall flooring is not influenced.

Segmented carbon fiber preform

The disclosure describes in some examples a technique that includes aligning a plurality of carbon preform segments in a staggered arrangement, where each carbon preform segment of the plurality carbon preform segment includes a carbon body including at least one of a plurality of carbon fibers or a carbon foam, and a silicon-based mixture including silicon particles. The techniques may include heating the staggered arrangement to react the silicon particles with the carbon body to bond the plurality of carbon preform segments together and form a ceramic matrix composite component.

Structural Panels for Exposed Surfaces

A method includes determining a target acoustic profile based on acoustic conditions at an exterior surface exposed to weather. The method further includes determining a plurality of foam layer characteristics based on the target acoustic profile. The method further includes determining one or more of elastomer characteristics based on the target acoustic profile and the plurality of foam layer characteristics. The method further includes providing a foam layer comprising the plurality of foam layer characteristics. The method further includes depositing an elastomer into the provided foam layer according to the one or more elastomer characteristics. The method further includes coupling the foam layer comprising the deposited elastomer onto the exterior surface exposed to weather. The foam layer including the deposited elastomer absorbs acoustic energy corresponding to the target acoustic profile.

Structural Panels for Exposed Surfaces

An apparatus includes a foam layer, a coating layer and an elastomer. The foam layer includes a first surface for coupling the apparatus to a surface exposed to weather, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a plurality of pores within the foam layer. The coating layer is deposited on the second surface of the foam layer. The elastomer is deposited within the plurality of pores within the foam layer.
