CRANIAL PROTECTION APPARATUS
An improved cranial protection apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprising a three-panel outer shell having an interlocking ridge system, wherein the three-panel outer shell includes a center shell and a pair of wing shells. The interlocking ridge system including a plurality of ridges configured to provide resistance on the outer shells during impact. The three-panel outer shell is configured to deform and reconstitute its shape via various mechanisms. A stopper is provided to limit the amount of deformation.
CELL PRESERVATION OR CULTURING ARRANGMENT
A biological cell preservation or culturing arrangement (20) comprises a chamber defining a fluid retaining space (30) for retaining in use a body of fluid (34) and a deformable membrane (36) in communication with the fluid retaining space, and being manipulable by an electroactive polymer actuator arrangement (38) to undergo a defined topology change to induce in the fluid a pattern of fluid flow by which fluid is exchanged between a sub-region (46) immediately proximal the deformable membrane and a sub-region (48) removed from the deformable membrane.
Dual-layered fabric for use in pocketed spring assembly
A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. Each string is joined to at least one adjacent string. Each string has first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse seams joining the plies. At least one spring is positioned in each of the pockets. The double-layered fabric used to make at least some strings comprises two layers of non-woven spunbonded polypropylene fabric to reduce noise. The layers may be ultrasonically welded or point bonded together.
Force defusing structure
A force defusing structure includes first and second plurality of spherical shaped objects. A first spherical shaped object is proximally positioned to two or more second spherical shaped objects. When a force is applied to the first spherical shaped object, the first spherical shaped object collides with the two or more second spherical shaped objects to defuse the force based on a multi-dimensional collision between the first spherical shaped object and the two or more second spherical shaped objects.
ADHESIVE ARTICLES PERMITTING DAMAGE FREE REMOVAL
The present disclosure provides adhesive articles that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced or eliminated contribution of a core backing to peel force generated by the adhesive during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a core that loses structural integrity in a direction normal to a plane defined by a major surface. In other instances, the contribution is reduced by compromising the interface between the core and a peelable adhesive layer.
MULTILAYER INNER TUBE
A multi-layer inner tube for a vehicle wheel, the multi-layer inner tube including an inner layer that is in contact with a gaseous filling of the inner tube; and an outer layer that differs from the inner layer, wherein the outer layer is in contact with an exterior environment of the inner tube, and wherein the inner layer and the outer layer are made from a thermoplastic polyurethane; and an intermediary layer made from an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer arranged between the inner layer and the outer layer.

Apparatus for sensing touch pressure
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for sensing touch pressure. The apparatus for sensing touch pressure, according to one mode of the present disclosure, includes: a first substrate provided with a first electrode unit formed thereon; a second substrate provided with a second electrode unit formed thereon; and a porous membrane member provided between the first substrate and the second substrate and deformed or restored according to touch pressure applied to the first substrate.
BENDABLE LAMINATED ARTICLE INCLUDING STRUCTURED ISLAND LAYER AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A laminated glass article including a glass layer and a structured layer disposed on an interior surface of the glass layer. The structured layer includes a plurality of discrete island structures configured to improve the puncture or impact resistance of the glass layer while also preserving the flexibility of the glass layer due to their discrete nature. In some embodiments, the laminated glass article may include an index matching layer disposed between the plurality of island structures, where the difference between the refractive index of the index matching layer and the refractive index of the structured layer is less than or equal to 0.05. In some embodiments, the laminated glass article may define all or a portion of a cover substrate for a consumer product.
Carrier apparatus and display
A carrier apparatus is adapted to carry a flexible substrate. The carrier apparatus includes two carrier plates, two adhesive layers, and two supporting units. The carrier plates have a gap with respect to each other, and each of the carrier plates has a first region and a second region, wherein the second regions of the carrier plates are adjacent to each other and are located between the first regions. The adhesive layers are respectively disposed in the first regions of the carrier plates. The supporting units are respectively disposed in the second regions of the carrier plates and are coplanar with the adhesive layers, wherein the flexible substrate is fixed on the carrier plates through the adhesive layers, and the supporting units are detachably attached to a bending zone of the flexible substrate by attractive force. A display including the carrier apparatus and a flexible display panel is provided.
