Systems and methods for radiative cooling and heating are provided. For example, systems for radiative cooling can include a top layer including one or more polymers, where the top layer has high emissivity in at least a portion of the thermal spectrum and an electromagnetic extinction coefficient of approximately zero, absorptivity of approximately zero, and high transmittance in at least a portion of the solar spectrum, and further include a reflective layer including one or more metals, where the reflective layer has high reflectivity in at least a portion of the solar spectrum.
THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A heat-conducting sheet (10) has a plurality of unit layers (13) each containing a silicone resin (11) wherein the plurality of unit layers (13) are laminated so as to be adhered with each other, wherein among the plurality of unit layers (13), at least one thereof contains a heat-conducting filler, and the compression ratio of the heat-conducting sheet when being compressed at 0.276 MPa is 20 to 65%.
STIFFENING STRUCTURE FOR AN APPLIANCE
A vacuum insulation assembly for an appliance includes a plurality of panels that define a cavity. Each of the plurality of panels includes an inner surface. A port opening is defined by one of the plurality of panels and is defined in communication with the cavity. A vacuum insulation material is positioned within the cavity. A stiffening material is coupled to the inner surface of one or more of the plurality of panels. The stiffening material includes a polymer layer configured to adhere to the inner surface when the stiffening material is heated. A mesh layer is positioned over the polymer layer.
METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYERED WET FRICTION MATERIAL
A method for producing a multi-layered wet friction material includes providing a bottom layer, providing a top layer produced independently of the bottom layer from different materials, and bonding the bottom layer to the top layer. The bottom layer and the top layer may be produced from different formulations and supplied as raw papers. A formulation of the top layer may include twenty to sixty percent (20%-60%) filler, ten to forty percent (10%-40%) wood pulp, five to ten percent (5%-10%) aramid, and twenty-five to thirty-five percent (25%-35%) phenolic resin. A formulation of the bottom layer may include ten to fifty percent (10%-50%) filler, ten to forty percent (10%-40%) wood pulp, five to ten percent (5%-10%) aramid, five to fifteen percent (5%-15%) carbon, and twenty-five to thirty-five percent (25%-35%) phenolic resin.
HIGH-STRENGTH LOW-HEAT RELEASE COMPONENTS INCLUDING A RESIN LAYER HAVING SP2 CARBON-CONTAINING MATERIAL THEREIN
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to composite laminate structures including a polymer layer having sp.sup.2 carbon-containing material and improved heat release properties, and methods of making the same.
Flexible plastic film
The present invention relates to a flexible plastic film, and more specifically to a flexible plastic film having excellent flexibility while exhibiting high hardness. According to the present invention, the flexible plastic film exhibits flexibility, bending property, high hardness, scratch resistance and high transparency, and hardly has a risk of damaging the film even in a state of being warped for a long period of time, and thereby can be usefully applied to flexible mobile devices, display devices, front face and display unit of various instrument panels, and the like.
Panel for forming a floor covering, method for manufacturing such panels and granulate applied herewith
A panel for forming a floor covering has a substrate including at least a layer of thermoplastic material, where the panel, above the layer, has at least also a printed décor and a translucent or transparent wear layer. The layer also includes at least individual fibers having a length greater than 1 millimeter, where the individual fibers are loose and freely distributed with the layer of thermoplastic material.
Anisotropic conductive film and method of producing the same
An anisotropic conductive film has a three-layer structure in which a first connection layer is sandwiched between a second connection layer and a third connection layer that each are formed mainly of an insulating resin. The first connection layer has a structure in which conductive particles are arranged in a single layer in the plane direction of an insulating resin layer on a side of the second connection layer, and the thickness of the insulating resin layer in central regions between adjacent ones of the conductive particles is smaller than that of the insulating resin layer in regions in proximity to the conductive particles.
DUAL-LAYER GAS FILTERS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Filter media and filters are provided that include at least two layers and a plurality of nanoparticles dispersed in depth within at least one of the layers. A gas filter comprises a first layer of fibers, a second layer of fibers bonded to the first layer and a plurality of nanoparticles incorporated into the first layer. The nanoparticles increase the overall surface area within the filter, which increases its filtration efficiency and allows for the capture of submicron contaminants without significantly compromising other factors, such as pressure drop (i.e., air flow) through the filter. In addition, the filters disclosed herein are capable of withstanding rigorous conditioning, which allows the filter to achieve the same level of filtration performance throughout the lifetime of the filter. Systems, devices and methods are also provided for manufacturing such filters.
FLOORING MATERIAL USING POZZOLAN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a flooring material including: a base material layer as a stone plastic composite (SPC) core; a color film layer formed on top of the base material layer to provide a given color and pattern; a wear layer formed on top of the color film layer to provide a corrosion resistance; a UV resistant layer formed on top of the wear layer to provide surface protection; and a pad layer formed on the underside of the base material layer to provide shock absorption and sound absorption.
