The invention provides a laminated film. The laminated film includes a polyester substrate film, and a coating layer on/over at least one surface of the substrate film. The coating layer includes a resin composition including a resin having an oxazoline group. The laminated film has an inorganic thin-film layer on/over the coating layer, and a protective layer that has a urethane resin and has an adhesion amount of 0.15 to 0.60 g/m.sup.2 on/over the inorganic thin-film layer. The laminated film shows a total reflection infrared absorption spectrum having a ratio P1/P2 ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 wherein P1 is the intensity of a peak having an absorption maximum in a range of 1530±10 cm.sup.−1, and P2 is that in a range of 1410±10 cm.sup.−1. The laminated film further has an oxygen permeability of 5 ml/m.sup.2.Math.d.Math.MPa or less under conditions of 23° C.×65% RH.

A method and a mineral wool product include a multiple of lamellae, such as a sandwich panel core. The product includes a plurality of lamellae cut from a mineral wool web, and bonded together by applying an adhesive on the surfaces of two adjacent lamellae to form a web-like product, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.

RUBBER-BASED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE

The present disclosure relates to a pressure sensitive adhesive comprising: a) a multi-arm block copolymer of the formula Q.sub.n-Y, wherein: (i) Q represents an arm of the multi-arm block copolymer and each arm independently has the formula G-R, (ii) n represents the number of arms and is a whole number of at least 3, and (iii) Y is the residue of a multifunctional coupling agent,  wherein each R is a rubbery block comprising a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or any combinations thereof; and each G is a glassy block comprising a polymerized monovinyl aromatic monomer; b) a polymeric plasticizer having a weight average molecular weight Mw of at least 10,000 g/mol; c) at least one hydrocarbon tackifier, wherein the hydrocarbon tackifier(s) have a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) value of less than 1000 ppm, when measured by thermogravimetric analysis according to the weight loss test methods described in the experimental section; and d) optionally, a linear block copolymer of the formula L-(G).sub.m, wherein L is a rubbery block comprising a polymerized olefin, a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or any combinations thereof; and wherein m is 1 or 2.

The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such a pressure sensitive adhesive and uses thereof.

The present invention also provides a manufacturing method of the optical film including curing a polymerizable liquid crystal composition including a liquid crystal compound and a chiral agent interposed between a support and another support. In the optical film according to the present invention, an absolute value of oblique retardation is smaller. In the liquid crystal display device including the optical film, front surface brightness is high and an oblique change in the shade is suppressed.

The present invention provides a barrier film laminate including a first barrier film that includes a first substrate layer and a first barrier layer formed on the first substrate layer, a second barrier film that includes a second substrate layer and a second barrier layer formed on the substrate layer, and an adhesive layer. In the barrier film laminate, the first barrier film is bonded with the second barrier film so that the first barrier layer faces the second barrier layer with the adhesive layer interposed therebetween. In one embodiment of the barrier film laminate, the adhesive layer is formed of an adhesive containing an epoxy resin, a curing agent having an amino group, and either a silane coupling agent having an epoxy group or a silane coupling agent having an amino group and two hydrolyzable functional groups.

Systems and methods are provided for divergent laminates. A method comprises providing a layup tool having a first upper face and a second upper face that rise to intersect each other at a ridge line, the layup tool further having a protrusion on top of a portion of the ridge line, and laying up a laminate onto the upper faces and the protrusion. The method also comprises placing a cure tool on top of the layup tool, the cure tool having a lower face that is dimensioned to mate with the upper faces along a portion of the ridge line that is not covered by the protrusion, thereby leaving a divergent flange of the laminate on top of the protrusion exposed, and sweeping the divergent flange of the laminate upward from the layup tool onto a vertical side the cure tool.

A method for surface preparation of composite substrates prior to adhesive bonding. A curable surface treatment layer is applied onto a curable, resin-based composite substrate, followed by co-curing. After co-curing, the composite substrate is fully cured but the surface treatment layer remains partially cured. The surface treatment layer may be a resin film or a removal peel ply composed of resin-impregnated fabric. After surface preparation, the composite substrate is provided with a chemically-active, bondable surface that can be adhesively bonded to another composite substrate to form a covalently-bonded structure.

The body also includes elements of phase change material that provide rigidity to the body below a threshold temperature, and that exhibit a phase change above the threshold temperature causing the body to become pliable. Further, the body includes flexible material that encloses the elements of phase change material.

An underlayment material has a fiber mat partially infused and/or coated with asphalt and coated with silicone coating. A selvedge edge, may be coated or uncoated. The back of the underlayment has a self-adhesive coating, which is protected before use by a siliconized release film. The upper surface of the underlayment is coated with silicone composition providing waterproofing and radiation control. When unsaturated, the selvedge edge of fibrous material establishes a reinforced bond with an overlying sheet. When saturated with asphalt, the bond at the selvedge edge between adjacent sheets is between the asphalt layer of the selvedge edge and the adhesive on the bottom of the adjacent sheet.
