INTRUSION RESISTANT THERMAL LAMINATING FILM
20220072840 · 2022-03-10 ·

Disclosed herein is an intrusion resistant thermal laminating film having a first multilayer structure of a polyester polymer layer and an ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer layer adhered thereto. The first multilayer structure is exposed to UV radiation for an effective period. A first adhesive layer is on the first multilayer structure and is an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer. The film also has a printed layer of a polyolefin or a polyvinyl chloride attached to the adhesive layer. The film has high clarity and is free of a primer. The printed layer cannot be separated from the first multilayer structure without destroying the film. The film exhibits no signs of orange peel.

THIN-WALL BONDED SELF-LUBRICATING PLATE
20210324288 · 2021-10-21 ·

Disclosed is a thin-wall bonded self-lubricating plate, the composite material structure thereof being composed of a surface self-lubricating layer, an intermediate bonding layer, and a metal backing layer. The surface self-lubricating layer includes polytetrafluoroethylene, ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, etc. The surface self-lubricating layer thereof is thicker than an ordinary sintered self-lubricating material, thereby reducing vibration and prolonging the service life. Components, such as bushings, gaskets, sliding plates, composite bearings and other special-shaped members, made of the thin-wall bonded self-lubricating plate, have broad application prospects in low-speed rotation and relative sliding parts of vehicles, general machinery, office furniture, etc.

DECORATIVE SHEETS

A decorative sheet includes a primary film layer; a transparent resin layer; and a surface protective layer, in this order; the surface protective layer is formed of a plurality of layers with a layer located on an outermost surface is a surface protective layer, and a layer underlying the surface protective layer is a second surface protective layer and includes one or more ionizing radiation-curable resins having an erosion rate E in a range of 0.10 μm/g or more and 0.45 μm/g or less, and one or more thermosetting resins having an erosion rate E in a range of 0.30 μm/g or more and 0.6 μm/g or less, the erosion rate E being measured by using polygonal alumina powder having an average particle size (D50) of 1.2 μm, and a mass ratio between the ionizing radiation-curable resin and the thermosetting resin (ionizing radiation-curable resin/thermosetting resin) is 95/5 to 40/60.

BIODEGRADABLE AND COMPOSTABLE DOG WASTE MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
20210284440 · 2021-09-16 ·

A biodegradable and compostable sheet of material for picking up and disposing of dog excrement in an environmentally friendly manner. The sheet comprises paper or paperboard that is made grease resistant. The sheets may be stored in individual sheets or on an elongated sheet that may be folded and rolled for use with dispensing units.

In operation, a user grabs or tears off an individual sheet and then places the sheet over the dog excrement so that it is located generally about the sheet's center. The corners or top edges of the sheet may then be grasped and rotated in a direction opposite of the rotation of the central section so that a twist end is formed to retain the dog excrement within a sack. The sack may then be disposed of in a trash can or composter, wherein it will degrade in an environmental safe way.

Method and apparatus for forming contoured stiffeners

A composite structure such as a stringer is produced by laying up composite charges at a layup station, spooling the charges onto a roll and transporting the roll to a forming station where the charges are unrolled and formed into individual components of the stringer. The components are then transferred to an assembly station where they are assembled together and vacuum bagged in preparation for curing.

The recyclable retort pouch is made of the recyclable retort polyester film.

RECYCLABLE FILMS AND PACKAGING

A recyclable film contains a base film of polyethylene that has been oriented, annealed, and irradiatively crosslinked, and a sealant. The base film has a free shrink rate of less than 10% in both the machine direction and the transverse direction when exposed to heat of 90° C. These recyclable films are ideal for use as packaging components that can be hermetically heat sealed to themselves or other packaging components, while maintaining low shrink and excellent appearance.
