Membrane lamination of three-dimensional (3D) article
Embodiments provide a lamination machine and lamination process for laminating a membrane to a three-dimensional (3D) target surface of an article, such as a footwear article, glove, clothing article, backpack, or other article. The lamination machine may include an inflatable former that is permeable to air. The inflatable former may have a shape that generally corresponds to a shape of the target surface. The membrane and target surface may be arranged on the former, with a heat-activated adhesive disposed between the membrane and the target surface. The lamination machine may further include a pump to pump heated compressed air into the former. The heated compressed air may inflate the former to press the membrane against the target surface and to activate the adhesive to bond the membrane to the target surface.

A process for manufacturing a base board of a high-speed rail equipment cabin using a composite material is disclosed. The composite material includes: aramid honeycomb, PET foam, 3K twill carbon fiber flame retardant prepreg, unidirectional carbon fiber flame retardant prepreg, glass fiber flame retardant prepreg, aramid flame retardant prepreg, and 300 g/cm.sup.2 single component medium temperature curing blue epoxy adhesive. The process includes manufacturing a base-board main plate (1), a base-board handle (2) and two base-board sliders (3). While installation, the base-board handle (2) is stuck to one side of the base-board main plate (1), and the two base-board sliders (3) are respectively stuck to another two opposite sides of the base-board main plate (1). The weight of the base board made from the composite material is 35%-40% lower than the base board made from the aluminum alloy material, which leads to a good prospect of application.

TRANSFER FILM AND MEMBRANE COVERINGS FOR PANEL PRODUCTS
A membrane covered panel and a membrane covered panel production method are provided wherein an elastomeric membrane, and preferably, an aqueous elastomeric resin-based membrane, is applied to a finished panel construct, prior to pressing of the membrane covered panel. The method is used to produce panels which can be used in the production of flooring materials, wall panels, furniture, countertops, and the like. The membrane is applied to a transfer film, which transfer film can be removed at any time prior to, or after the pressing operation. The panels produced have a durable but elastic surface which can protect the surfaces of the panel construct. The elastomeric covering on the panel construct also preferably provides a surface which is abrasion resistant, and provides better acoustical properties while providing a soft touch haptic surface.
