Drop roller press and method of making recessed panel doors
The disclosure relates to systems and methods for pressing a door assembly involving a scanning system operable to survey an outer surface of a door skin and identify a location of one or more recessed panel portions on the door skin, and a press operable to selectably actuate a group of actuators based on the identified location of the recessed panel portions, where the actuators drive press members onto the one or more recessed panel portions of the door skin during a pressing operation to facilitate crushing of portions of a core of the door assembly that underlie the recessed panel portion of the door skin.
METAL-PLASTIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention provides a metal-plastic composite material having excellent adhesive strength and formability and a method for manufacturing the same, and specifically, the present invention provides a metal-plastic composite material and a method for manufacturing the same comprising: a metal layer; and a plastic layer on at least one surface of the metal layer, wherein a thin film layer formed of a silane coupling agent is provided between the metal layer and the plastic layer, and the metal layer and the plastic layer are bonded by covalent bonding with the silane coupling agent.
METHOD TO PRODUCE A PANEL UNIT AND A PANEL
A method to produce a panel unit, including providing a core having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, applying a surface layer to the first surface of the core, the surface layer including a wood veneer layer and a first binder layer for adhering the wood veneer layer to the first surface of the core, applying a balancing layer to a second surface of the core, the balancing layer including an unimpregnated paper and a second binder layer for adhering the unimpregnated paper to the second surface of the core, applying pressure to the surface layer, the balancing layer, and the core to form a panel unit. The disclosure also relates to a panel.
Polyurethane hot-melt adhesive, laminated body using same, and method for producing laminated body
Disclosed is a polyurethane hot-melt adhesive including: a thermoplastic polyurethane that is a reactant of a raw material including a polymer polyol, a polyisocyanate, and a chain extender, wherein X−Y≥15, where X represents a temperature (° C.) at which the polyurethane hot-melt adhesive has a melt viscosity of 2.0×10.sup.3 Pa.Math.s, and Y represents a temperature at which the polyurethane hot-melt adhesive has a melt viscosity of 1.0×10.sup.5 Pa.Math.s, and the polyurethane hot-melt adhesive has a 100% modulus of 2.5 MPa or more.
GLASS ARTICLES HAVING ADHESIVE BEAD WITH HIGH ASPECT RATIO AND METHOD OF PREPARING SAME
A glass article including a frame having a frame support surface, a glass sheet having a first major surface and a second major surface in which the second major surface is opposite to the first major surface, and an adhesive bead disposed between the frame support surface and the second major surface. The adhesive bead defines a bead path. The adhesive bead has a cross-section perpendicular to the bead path, and the cross-section includes a width and a height. The height is a maximum dimension perpendicular to the second major surface of the glass sheet, and the width is a maximum dimension parallel to the second major surface of the glass sheet. An aspect ratio of the height to the width is at least 0.6, and the width is 2 mm or less.
Synthetic fabric having slip resistant properties and method of making same
A synthetic nonwoven fabric having bonded fibers forming channels surrounding unbonded fibers forming raised slip resistant spots. The fabric is made by extruding hot polymer through a spinneret die onto a moving belt to form a sheet of random fibers, which sheet undergoes a calendering process between a pair of heated rollers, one of which rollers having a plurality of cavities defined in its surface. The resulting fabric can be laminated and otherwise combined with other layers as desired to provide an end product having good slip resistant properties.
COMPOSITE SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
One aspect of the present invention provides a composite sheet which comprises a nitride sintered body having a porous structure and a semi-cured product of a thermosetting resin composition impregnated into the nitride sintered body, the line roughness Rz specified by JIS B 0601:2013 of at least one main surface being 10 μm or less.
CERAMIC/COPPER/GRAPHENE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND CERAMIC/COPPER/GRAPHENE JOINING STRUCTURE
In a ceramic/copper/graphene assembly, a ceramic member, a copper member formed of copper or a copper alloy, and a graphene-containing carbonaceous member containing a graphene aggregate are joined. At a joining interface between the copper member and the graphene-containing carbonaceous member, an active metal carbide layer containing a carbide of one or more kinds of active metals selected from Ti, Zr, Nb, and Hf is formed on a side of the graphene-containing carbonaceous member, and a Mg solid solution layer having Mg dissolved in a matrix phase of Cu is formed between the active metal carbide layer and the copper member.
