A combination sink strainer and stopper for a sink having a predefined sink opening through which fluid and limited waste passes includes a strainer cup having a continuous sidewall and a bottom connected to said sidewall, a strainer cup including a plurality of openings therethrough to provide a straining of debris over a predetermined size of the openings and a cover plate pivotally connected to the strainer cup which when the strainer cup is disposed in the sink opening, the cover plate is permitted to pivot to a first closed position and close and cover the strainer cup in a manner to seal about the sink opening and a second open position wherein the strainer cup is at least partially not covered by said cover plate and permit fluid and the limited waste therethrough.

A decorative reflective stopper cover has a flat, round, disc like shape. The disc has a top surface of a constant radius and an opposite bottom surface beneath. The top surface has an outer edge generally upon its perimeter and visible to users. The outer edge spans from the top surface to the bottom surface and denotes the maximum radius of the invention. The outer edge has a perpendicular orientation to the top surface and the bottom surface. The disc has multiple layers with a smooth transparent layer at the top surface upon an ink layer and then below that a substrate with an adhesive layer where the adhesive releasably connects to a sink surface. The transparent layer has a high gloss. Alternatively, the adhesive layer has a concave shape and the release layer has grooves upon it.

A device used to conceal at least a portion of a wastewater strainer associated with a bathtub. More specifically, a plate having an opening therethrough is used to overlap a flange of the wastewater strainer wherein the opening in the plate generally coincides with an opening in the wastewater strainer so that the bathtub drain is unobstructed. The plate may include a downwardly extending lip to help facilitate orientation onto the flange of the wastewater strainer. The plate conceals the wastewater strainer, thereby facilitating reconfiguration of a bathtub as the existing wastewater strainer need not be removed and the plumbing system retested.

A drain stopper assembly that can be simply pushed into and pulled out of a drain pipe includes an open-close mechanism, a cap, a drain seal, and a means for engaging the open-close mechanism with the drain pipe and preferably also includes a strainer. The means includes a wheel-shaped disc that rests on crossbars in the drain pipe and has an annular seal about its perimeter; a ball-and-spring detent mechanism for attaching the drain stopper to crossbars; and a magnet attached to the open-close mechanism, preferably with a ferrous adapter for the drain pipe. The open-close mechanism is a push mechanism, a lift-and-lock mechanism or a lift-and-turn mechanism.

A drain stopper assembly that can be simply pushed into and pulled out of a drain pipe includes an open-close mechanism, a cap, a drain seal, and a means for engaging the open-close mechanism with the drain pipe and preferably also includes a strainer. A door security system and method may increase the home security for elderly people without limiting the privacy of or convenience for residents. The method comprises detecting closing of a door; keeping a first locking mechanism of said door in an open position for a first predetermined period of time after said closing; after said predetermined period of time, changing said first locking mechanism into a locked position. The re-entry time frame permits a user to re-enter without a key, immediately after realizing they forgot it. The method may further comprise recognizing motion of a person on a door of a house through a camera provided in or near the door; producing streaming footage; sending the streaming footage to a central processing server; processing the streaming footage for face recognition purpose and checking against several; and storing all data on the server.

A decorative and magnetic cleanout cover. The decorative and magnetic cleanout cover may comprise: a cover portion and a magnet. The magnet may be coupled to the cover portion and may be adapted to magnetically engage with a cleanout engagement device. The cleanout engagement device may be configured to physically engage with a drain cleanout. The cover portion may be configured to substantially obscure from view the drain cleanout when the cover portion is magnetically coupled to the cleanout engagement device. The cleanout cover may be removeable from the cleanout engagement device, such that the drain cleanout is accessible when the cleanout cover is removed.

A planar ring for messages proximate a drain stopper decorative device has a flat, wide shape. The ring has a top surface and an opposite bottom surface. The visible top surface has an outer edge upon its perimeter. The outer edge spans from the top surface to the bottom surface. Inwardly from the outer edge, the ring has a band with a width. The band's width falls within from about 10/32 inch to about inch. Inwardly from the band, the ring has its inner edge of a constant radius lesser than the outer edge. Within the inner edge, the ring has an aperture that admits a stopper. The two edges attain a perpendicular orientation to the two surfaces. The ring has a multiple layer construction with a smooth transparent layer at the top surface upon an ink layer upon a substrate with a releasable adhesive layer.
