A drain cleaner assembly for use in association with a wastewater drain including: a strainer body, wherein the strainer body includes at least one sidewall having an inner surface, an outer surface, an upper end, and a lower end, and wherein the upper end terminates in an annular flange; a drain closure, wherein the drain closure includes an upper end and a lower end, and wherein the lower end includes an annular channel for retaining a seal member; a drain shaft, wherein the drain shaft includes an upper and a lower end, and wherein the upper end is associated with the drain closure; at least one non-displaceable blade; and at least one displaceable blade associated with the drain shaft, wherein the displaceable blade is rotatably displaceable upon at least one of rotational and linear displacement of the drain closure.

An improved drain stopper valve assembly is disclosed that replaces the conventional drain stopper and includes an integral strainer that completely surrounds the underside of the stopper valve. It has perforated, tubular upper and lower sections that connect together via a bayonet coupling that enables easy disassembly for cleaning or removal of debris or a lost object. The lower section of the strainer body is also tapered to enable freer flow of liquid through the stopper valve assembly even if the lower section is filled with debris that has been strained. The replacement stopper valve assembly is designed to fit all standard basin drain plumbing, and to be easily removable from the drain.

A drain stopper assembly that can be simply pushed into and pulled out of a drain pipe includes an open-close mechanism, a cap, a drain seal, and a means for engaging the open-close mechanism with the drain pipe and preferably also includes a strainer. The means includes a wheel-shaped disc that rests on crossbars in the drain pipe and has an annular seal about its perimeter; a ball-and-spring detent mechanism for attaching the drain stopper to crossbars; and a magnet attached to the open-close mechanism, preferably with a ferrous adapter for the drain pipe. The open-close mechanism is a push mechanism, a lift-and-lock mechanism or a lift-and-turn mechanism.
