METHOD FOR PRODUCING OUTDOOR CLOTHING NOT REQUIRING SEAM TAPE AND HAVING STRENGTHENED WATERPROOF FUNCTION
Provided is a method of manufacturing outdoor clothing requiring no seam tape and having an enhanced waterproof function in which a waterproof function is further improved. The method includes: preparing an outer fabric in which surface contact portions of a first outer fabric and a second outer fabric are bonded to a bottom surface of the first outer fabric; preparing a structure in which a first adhesive layer, a membrane, and a second adhesive layer are sequentially disposed on an upper surface of the inner fabric; and bonding the structure and the outer fabric.
Bonds for solar cell metallization
A solar cell can include a substrate and a semiconductor region disposed in or above the substrate. The solar cell can also include a conductive contact disposed on the semiconductor region with the conductive contact including a conductive foil bonded to the semiconductor region.
Pocketed spring assembly having multi-layered impermeable fabric
A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. Each string is joined to at least one adjacent string. Each string has first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse segmented seams joining the plies. Gaps between the segments of the seams allow air to pass into and out of the pockets despite the fabric being impermeable to airflow through the fabric. The fabric has at least four layers. The size of the gaps determines the firmness or feel of the pocketed spring assembly or portion thereof.
Dual-Layered Fabric For Use in Pocketed Spring Assembly
A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. Each string is joined to at least one adjacent string. Each string has first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse seams joining the plies. At least one spring is positioned in each of the pockets. The double-layered fabric used to make at least some strings comprises two layers of non-woven spunbonded polypropylene fabric to reduce noise. The layers may be ultrasonically welded or point bonded together.
METAL-CARBON COMPOSITES AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
A method for producing a carbon nanotube-metal composite in which carbon nanotubes are layered on a metal substrate, the method comprising: (i) depositing a liquid, in which carbon nanotubes are suspended, onto said metal substrate; (ii) during or after step (i), subjecting said liquid to a shearing force sufficient to spatially confine the liquid to induce at least partial alignment of said carbon nanotubes on said metal substrate; and (iii) removing said liquid to produce said carbon nanotube-metal composite; wherein, after step (iii), the lengthwise dimensions of said carbon nanotubes are adhered to and oriented parallel with said metal surface, and said carbon nanotubes are at least partially aligned with each other. In some embodiments, the liquid is deposited in the form of droplets, and the droplets are subjected to a shearing force to cause them to elongate, which induces at least partial alignment of the carbon nanotubes.
ELASTIC NON-WOVEN LAMINATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A lamination system includes a film supply, a non-woven material supply, and a laminator. The laminator causes a film from the film supply to be laminated to a sheet from the non-woven material supply to establish a laminated sheet.
Apparatus for manufacturing double-layer fabric for down products having pattern joining line formed by high-frequency bonding
A device for preparation of double fabric for down products comprises a printing means that can print an adhesive in a predetermined printing pattern on fabric; a drying means that can dry or fix the adhesive; a laminating means that can stack and laminate the fabrics on which an adhesive is printed; and a bonding means that can bond the fabrics with a cured adhesive by pressing with a predetermined pressing means and high-frequency heating to cure the adhesive; wherein said printing pattern and the pressing pattern are the same in pattern (shape), can be overlapped on the basis of the center line and have a difference in size (width) of 20% or less. Consequently, double fabric for down products thus manufactured has an excellent adhesiveness and durability and an aesthetically excellent pattern line with good clearness and finishing quality.
Method and apparatus for an insulating glazing unit and compliant seal for an insulating glazing unit
A Vacuum Insulating Glazing Unit (VIGU) comprises two or more glass lites (panes) spaced apart from one another and hermetically bonded to an edge seal assembly therebetween. The resulting cavity between the lites is evacuated to create at least one insulating vacuum cavity within which are disposed a plurality of stand-off members to maintain separation between the lites. The edge seal assembly is preferably compliant in the longitudinal (i.e., edgewise) direction to allow longitudinal relative motion between the two lites (e.g., from thermal expansion). The longitudinal compliance may be obtained by imprinting a three-dimensional pattern into the edge seal material. The edge seal assembly is preferably bonded to the lites with a first bond portion that is hermetic and a second bond portion that is load-resistant. Methods for producing VIGUs and/or compliant edge seal assemblies and VIGU and edge seal apparatus are disclosed.
Wound-connection pads for fluid instillation and negative pressure wound therapy, and systems and methods
Connection pads for coupling fluid-instillation and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) apparatuses to wound dressing, and methods and wound dressings for breaching a drape after coupling a wound dressing to a fluid-instillation and/or NPWT apparatus.
