Method of manufacturing a device
Provided is a device in which the metal content existing in a joining interface is controlled. A manufacturing method for the device comprises: a step in which the surfaces of a first substrate and a second substrate are activated using a FAB gun; a step in which a plurality of metals are discharged by using the FAB gun to sputter a discharged metal body comprising the plurality of metals, and the plurality of metals are affixed to the surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate; a step in which the first substrate and the second substrate are joined at room temperature; and a step in which heating is performed at a temperature that is high in comparison to the agglomeration start temperature of the plurality of metals and of the elements that constitute the first substrate or the second substrate. With regards to the step in which the plurality of metals are affixed, the density of the plurality of metals existing on the joining interface of the first substrate and the second substrate is set to 1×10.sup.12/cm.sup.2 or less by adjusting the exposure area of the discharged metal body.
ROOFING MEMBRANES WITH IMPROVED ADHESIVE BONDING STRENGTH
Systems and methods are described herein for manufacturing and using roofing membranes that are faster and easier to install than conventional adhesive-only membrane materials. In some embodiments, membrane materials are surface treated using a plasma flow, e.g., a blown-arc plasma flow, atmospheric plasma, corona plasma, or from portable plasma units, generated by passing a compressed plasma-generating gas through an electrical current to form the plasma-treated roofing membrane. The plasma treatments described herein may be applied as part of the manufacturing process, or in-situ at the site of roof installation. In some embodiments, membrane materials have surface chemistries, roughnesses and other surface characteristics that yield desired adhesion properties.
LAMINATED BODY INCLUDING RESIN BODY AND GEL BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a laminated body that has high adhesiveness between a resin body containing a fluorine-based resin and a silicone gel and that can be attached to and detached from an adherend for use. A laminated body comprising: a resin body; and a gel body, wherein the resin body comprises a fluorine-based resin, and the gel body comprises a silicone gel and lipophilic silica particles.
WORKPIECE BONDING METHOD
Provided is a workpiece bonding method that makes it possible to achieve a joining state with a high strength and to obtain a good repeatability of the joining state.
A workpiece bonding method according to the present invention is a workpiece bonding method for bonding two workpieces to each other, each of the two workpieces being composed of a material selected from the group consisting of synthetic resin, glass, silicon wafer, crystal and sapphire, the workpiece bonding method including: a surface activation step of activating a bonded surface of at least one of the workpieces; and a laminating step of laminating the two workpieces such that respective bonded surfaces contact with each other, and a pretreatment step of removing moisture from the bonded surface of the workpiece that is to be subjected to the surface activation step is performed before the surface activation step is performed.
