GLASS COMPOSITE, CASING, DISPLAY DEVICE AND TERMINAL DEVICE
A glass composite includes a first glass member and a second glass member. The first glass member and the second glass member are at least partially connected with each other at the surfaces, and a contact interface is formed on the contacting position of the first glass member and the second glass member. The contact interface is visually observed to have no crevices; and when the glass composite is in contact with an acid solution, crevices are suitably formed in the glass composite at the contact interface.
Blended fiber mat formation for structural applications
A process and system are provided for introducing a blend of chopped and dispersed fibers on an automated production line amenable for inclusion in molding compositions as a blended fiber mat for structural applications. The blend of fibers are simultaneously supplied to an automated cutting machine illustratively including a rotary blade chopper disposed above a vortex supporting chamber. The blend of chopped fibers and binder form a chopped mat. The chopped mat has a veil mat placed on either side, and is consolidated with the veil mat using heated rollers maintained at the softening temperature of thermoplastic binder, with consolidated mats being amenable to being stored in rolls or as flat sheets. A charge pattern is made using the consolidated mat, and the charge pattern can be compression molded in a mold maintained at a temperature lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic fibers.
ORIENTED POLYOLEFIN RELEASE FILMS
Embodiments relates to a multilayer film comprising a core layer, a first outer layer and second outer layer. In an embodiment, the core layer includes a polypropylene; the first outer layer comprises (a) a polymethylpentene, (b) a butene copolymer, and (c) a polydimethylsiloxane and/or a crosslinked silicone; and the second outer layer comprises (a) a polymethylpentene, (b) a butene copolymer, and (c) a polydimethylsiloxane and/or a crosslinked silicone. Yet, another embodiment relates the core layer comprises polypropylene; the first outer layer comprises a mini random polypropylene resin, wherein the first outer layer comprises a first corona treated surface; and the second outer layer comprises a polymethylpentene copolymer, a crystalline polypropylene, a polydimethylsiloxane, a crosslinked silicone and/or a fluoropolymer.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AUTOMOTIVE ORNAMENT
A method for manufacturing an automotive ornament is provided, and the method includes following steps. A light-transmitting element is provided. At least one opening running through at least part of the light-transmitting element is formed. A sputtering layer is formed by a sputtering process using a sputtering device, where the sputtering layer is located in the at least one opening to form an ornament unit.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING RELIEF-PATTERN FORMATION, APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND SEAL
A method and an apparatus for producing a relief-pattern forming, the method and apparatus being suitable for producing a film-like material, such as an embossed film, having a fine relief-structure pattern formed on a surface thereof so as to have a distinctive optical effect with higher quality, good productivity, and fewer defects. A transfer pattern printed layer having an inverted structure of a relief-structure pattern is formed on a second substrate by printing a transfer pattern onto the surface of a first substrate on which the relief-structure pattern is formed at a predetermined position by registration with the relief-structure pattern followed by drying, laminating with the second substrate, curing and peeling.
BONDED SUBSTRATE INCLUDING POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND FILM
A wafer has a layer containing silicon, a layer of polycrystalline diamond deposited on the silicon-containing layer, and a bow-compensation layer on the other side of the silicon-containing layer for reducing wafer-bow. A method of making a bonded structure includes an activation process for creating dangling bonds on the surface of one substrate, followed by contact-bonding the surface to a second substrate at low temperature. A bonded structure may include two substrates contact bonded to each other, one substrate including a layer containing silicon, a layer of polycrystalline diamond, a bow-compensation layer for reducing wafer-bow of the first substrate, and the other substrate including gallium nitride, silicon carbide, lithium niobate, lithium tantalate, gallium arsenide, indium phosphide, or another suitable material other than diamond.
LAYERED PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
An object of the present invention is to provide a layered product of a polymer layer made of PTFE or the like and the rubber, with further improvement in the adhesiveness between the polymer layer and the rubber layer. A layered product in which a fluorine-containing polymer compound layer and a rubber layer formed from a rubber composition are stacked, wherein the fluorine-containing polymer compound is polytetrafluoroethylene or a copolymer of a difluoromethylene unit and at least one of a hexafluoropropylene unit, a perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether unit, a methylene unit, an ethylene unit, and a perfluorodioxole unit, and the rubber layer contains SiO.sub.2.
CELLULOSE ESTER FILMS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Films comprising a layer including a cellulose ester and a layer including an acrylic coating are provided. Polarizing sheets comprising the films are also provided. In addition, methods of making the films and polarizing sheets are provided.
SHINGLE WITH REINFORCED NAIL ZONE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
A method of making a laminated shingle is provided. The method includes coating a shingle mat with roofing asphalt to make an asphalt-coated sheet, adhering a reinforcement member to a portion of the asphalt-coated sheet, covering the asphalt-coated sheet, and optionally covering the reinforcement member, with granules to make a granule-covered sheet, dividing the granule-covered sheet into an overlay sheet and an underlay sheet, wherein the overlay sheet has a tab portion normally exposed on a roof and a headlap portion normally covered-up on a roof, the headlap portion having a lower zone adjacent the tab portion and an upper zone adjacent the lower zone, and wherein the reinforcement member is adhered to the lower zone of the headlap portion and laminating the overlay sheet and the underlay sheet to make the laminated shingle.
