Block copolymer compositions, prepregs, and laminates made therefrom
A resin composition that allows production of laminated sheets excellent in heat resistance and processability is disclosed. The resin composition comprises: a) a block copolymer, where the block copolymer comprises at least one polymer block comprising polymerized acyclic conjugated diene units, such as butadiene units, and at least one polymer block containing units like a conjugated cyclic diene such as 1,3-cyclohexadiene or monomer units characterized by unit Tg above 100° C., b) a curing initiator, and c) optionally diene-based polymer selected from a polybutadiene polymer and the copolymer of butadiene with styrene or other styrenic monomers, c) optional additives comprising but not limited to a multi-functional co-curable additive, a diene based rubber, a halogenated or non halogenated flame retardant, an inorganic or organic filler or fiber, an antioxidant, a adhesion promotor, a film forming.
GLASS LAMINATE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A glass laminate article includes an adhesive film attached to a base material, and a glass substrate layer attached to the adhesive film, wherein the glass substrate layer has a side surface that is inclined with respect to an upper surface thereof by an obtuse angle. According to the glass laminate article and a method of manufacturing the glass laminate article, the glass laminate article has an excellent appearance and safety and may be easily manufactured at a low cost.
Hot-stamped body
There is provided a hot-stamped body including: a steel base metal; and a metallic layer formed on a surface of the steel base metal, wherein the metallic layer includes: an interface layer that contains, in mass %, Al: 30.0 to 36.0%, has a thickness of 100 nm to 15 μm, and is located in an interface between the metallic layer and the steel base metal; and a principal layer that includes coexisting Zn phases and insular FeAl.sub.2 phases, is located on the interface layer, and has a thickness of 1 μm to 40 μm. This hot-stamped body is excellent in fatigue properties, corrosion resistance, and chipping resistance.

Multilayer Coverings to Protect Surfaces from Lightning Strikes
A multilayer protective covering can protect a surface from lightning strikes. The covering includes a bottom conductive layer affixed to the surface and having a first opening that is aligned with a grounding connection so that the grounding connection is exposed through first opening and not in contact with the bottom conductive layer. The covering also includes a dielectric layer affixed to the bottom conductive layer and having second opening aligned with the grounding connection so that the grounding connection is exposed through second opening and not in contact with the dielectric layer. The covering additionally includes a top conductive layer affixed to the dielectric layer and covering the grounding connection. The top conductive layer directs electrical current from a lightning strike on the surface to the grounding connection.

A method of manufacturing a metal-plated carbon material, includes: a metal complex fixation step of immersing a carbon material in a supercritical fluid or subcritical fluid containing an organometallic complex of a first metal; and a first energization deposition step of energizing the metal-complex-fixed carbon material in an electroless plating solution containing a second metal.
POLYMER FILM AND LAMINATE
An object of the present invention is to provide a polymer film having a more excellent adhesiveness to a metal layer. In addition, another object of the present invention is to provide a laminate having the polymer film. The polymer film of an embodiment of the present invention is a polymer film including a polymer and having a dielectric loss tangent of 0.005 or less under the conditions of a temperature of 23° C. and a frequency of 28 GHz, in which a relaxation peak disappearance temperature of a relaxation peak in a frequency dependence of the dielectric loss tangent of the polymer film is −80° C. or higher. In addition, the polymer film of the embodiment of the present invention is a polymer film including a polymer and having a dielectric loss tangent of 0.005 or less under the conditions of a temperature of 23° C. and a frequency of 28 GHz, in which an A value obtained by a predetermined measurement method is 1 to 60 eq/t.
Coating film-forming composition, method for producing surface-treated metal member, and method for producing metal-resin composite
Provided are a coating film-forming composition for forming a coating film on a metal surface that exhibits excellent adhesiveness between a metal and a resin, and a surface-treated metal member having a coating film formed by using the composition. The coating film-forming composition is a solution containing a silane coupling agent having an amino group, a metallic ion and a halide ion. The metallic ion is preferably a copper ion, and a copper ion concentration in the solution is preferably 0.1 to 60 mM. The amount of Si based on the amount of Cu in the solution is preferably 30 or less, in terms of molar ratio. The pH of the solution is preferably 2.8 to 6.2.
ELECTROSURGICAL SEAL PLATES
A system for the manufacture of an end effector assembly which is configured for use with an electrosurgical instrument configured for performing an electrosurgical procedure is provided. The system includes a photolithography module that is configured to etch one or more pockets on a seal surface of the seal plate. A vacuum module is configured to raise, transfer and lower a spacer from a location remote from the pocket(s) on the seal plate to the pocket on the seal plate(s). An adhesive dispensing module is configured to dispense an adhesive into the pocket on the seal plate. An optical module is configured to monitor a volume of the adhesive dispensed within the pocket and monitor placement of the spacer within the pocket.
