Walk-in bath
A walk-in bath comprising a sidewall and a door; wherein the door is configured to be in an open position or a closed position, the sidewall and closed door define a tub configured to hold bathing water, the door comprises a fin configured to be grasped by a bather, and the fin comprises a continuous projection positioned on a top edge of the door between a first end of the door and a second end of the door.
Bathtub door systems and methods
Embodiments described herein include a bathtub that can include a U-shaped step saddle associated with a door assembly. The door assembly can include a hinge coupled with the U-shaped step saddle such that the door assembly can be transitioned between an open position and a closed position. The door assembly can include a catch and a latch to secure the door in the closed position.
Vertical bathtub closure systems and methods
Embodiments described herein include a bathtub closure system having a step, the step having a first side panel, a second side panel, and an elongated platform defining a cavity, where the cavity can be configured to facilitate ingress and egress into a bathtub. The bathtub closure system can include a closure, where the closure can be coupled with the step and can cooperate with the step to form a substantially watertight seal when the closure is in a closed position.
Covertable bathub and shower assembly
The invention is generally directed to a bathing assembly that allows for conversion between a bathtub and shower as desired by the user. The assembly includes a bathtub insert positioned on one of the bathtub sidewalls. The insert is watertight and allows the bathtub to function fully when installed. The insert can be easily removed from the bathtub sidewall, allowing access to the shower stall with minimal step over barrier. A hanger is positioned on one wall of the shower stall to retain the insert until it is needed again (e.g., when a user desires to take a bath). The assembly further includes an overflow drain positioned in the bathtub sidewall opening created when the insert is removed, acting as an added safety feature when the shower is in use. The assembly therefore allows a user to enjoy the benefits of both a walk-in shower and bathtub without requiring major renovations or costly updates.
WALK-IN HOT TUB
A walk-in hot tub which can enable one or more users to walk into and out of a hot tub in a dry state may include a hot tub compartment. The hot tub compartment may have a hot tub compartment interior. A tub transfer compartment may be disposed adjacent to the hot tub compartment. The tub transfer compartment may have a transfer compartment interior. An openable transfer compartment door may provide walking access to a user from outside the tub transfer compartment into the transfer compartment interior of the tub transfer compartment. An openable hot tub compartment door may provide walking access to one or more users between the hot tub compartment interior of the hot tub compartment and the transfer compartment interior of the tub transfer compartment.
MULTI-COMPARTMENT WALK-IN BATHTUB
A multi-compartment walk-in bathtub is disclosed that allows for a first compartment of the walk-in bathtub to be filled with a quantity of water while a second compartment of the walk-in bathtub allows the user to enter the bathtub. A first movable gate contains a volume of water in the first compartment while the second compartment is in an unfilled condition. A second movable gate is operable to open and close an entry sidewall of the bathtub, allowing the user to enter the second compartment. The second movable gate is then moved to a closed position. When the second movable gate is in the closed condition, the first movable gate may be moved to an open condition to release the volume of water and fill the walk-in bathtub to a filled condition. A seat may be provided that is selectively elevated and lowered by drive mechanism.
UPRIGHT MASSAGE TUB THAT CONVERTS INTO A STANDARD BATHTUB
An upright massage tub that converts into a standard bathtub is described. The upright massage tub is designed so as users can safely and easily enter the tub in a step/sit motion, sitting themselves upright in a natural, ergonomic position (at approximately a standard chair height). This upright design is also better for user assistants, putting them in a better ergonomic position while they assist users in bathing.
This upright massage tub design also includes a vertically adjustable hub, housing a water jet that can deliver a proximity source of water-jet flow.
WATER-TIGHT SEALING SYSTEM FOR A BATHTUB DOOR
A water-tight sealing system for a bathtub door may include, but is not limited to, an opening in a side of a bathtub. A door may be coupled to the bathtub and configured to close the bathtub side. Magnetic elements may be positioned on one of a periphery of a door and a periphery of the bathtub side and corresponding metallic elements may be positioned on the other of the periphery of the door and the periphery of the bathtub side. One or more compressible seals may be positioned along the periphery of the door and against the magnetic elements such that the compressible seals are compressed between the magnetic elements and the corresponding metallic elements when the door is closed. Magnetic attraction between the magnetic elements and the corresponding metallic elements may compress the compressible seals to form a water-tight seal between the door and the bathtub.
Semi-open showering device
A semi-open bathing device (200) is provided, one aspect of which relates to multi-function showering device, comprising a chair assembly, a plurality of first dispensers (220/222), a supply assembly, a temperature regulator, and a waste water management assembly. In the semi-open bathing device (200), the chair assembly comprises a seat (202) with a hole (204) disposed in the center of the seat (202). A backrest (206) and two sidewalls (214) are coupled to the seat (202) respectively thereby forming a front opening for the chair assembly. The backrest (206) provides a support for the bather and the two sidewalls (214) are configured to contain the spillage of water. The plurality of first dispensers (220/222) is positioned onto the sidewalls (214) and/or the backrest (206) for dispensing water and/or air towards the bather. The supply assembly is located at backside of the backrest (206) for connecting to a water supply and an electricity supply.
Accelerated drain apparatus and method for walk-in bathtub
An accelerated drain system for a walk-in bathtub with a water outlet in a side wall communicates water to a diverter valve biased to circulate the water in the bathtub and movable selectively to communicate water through a reverse check valve to a drain, the reverse check valve biased closed to prevent water flow and movable selectively to allow water flow to the drain, with a controller configured for moving the diverter valve selectively from the second position to the closed position for subsequent use of the walk-in bathtub. A method of rapid draining of a walk-in bathtub is disclosed.
