CEMENT PANEL AND METHOD TO ELIMINATE RELEASE PAPER FROM CEMENT PANEL MANUFACTURE

A building composite panel including a core of a continuous phase comprising hydraulic binder. The core has first and second opposed longitudinal edge faces, and opposed first and second major faces, each major face adjoining the first and second opposed longitudinal edge faces. A slurry-permeable reinforcing material is attached to the first major face. A non-woven polymer fabric laminate facing material, that is different from the reinforcing material, covering and attached to and traversing the first major face and covering and attached to the opposed longitudinal edges of the core. The facing material includes a plurality of bonded laminas, wherein the plurality includes a first and second water-permeable laminas on opposed outer sides of the facing material, and a water-impermeable lamina between the first and second water-permeable laminas. The first water-permeable lamina attached to the core. A method for making the panel is also provided.

A multi-layer panel (10; 20) is described comprising, in sequence, a decorative slab (11) made of natural stone or Ultra High Performance Concrete, a structural central layer (12), a metal sheet (13) and a textile layer (14) made of fabric, non-woven fabric, or of a glass fiber mat. The textile layer makes direct gluing of the panel possible with cementitious adhesives used in construction. The panel can be produced in large format slabs, not achievable with the panels currently on the market.

CONVERTIBLE DEVICE FOR TESTING BOND BETWEEN NEAR-SURFACE MOUNTED COMPOSITES AND MEDIA

A debonding test apparatus includes a structural block having a receiving space formed therein; a pair of clamps; an adjustable hanger; and an attachment mechanism. The structural block includes a top surface, a first lateral surface, a second lateral surface, a bottom surface, and a structural body. The structural body extends from the top surface to the bottom surface between the first lateral surface and the second lateral surface. The receiving space traverses through the structural body between the first lateral surface and the second lateral surface adjacent the bottom surface of the structural block. The adjustable hanger is slidably positioned into the receiving space adjacent a top end of the receiving space. The pair of clamps is slidably coupled to the adjustable hanger. The structural block, the pair of clamps, and the adjustable hanger are detachably attached to each other through the attachment mechanism.

METHODS OF PREPARING GYPSUM BOARD USING CELLULOSIC FIBER

Disclosed are methods of preparing gypsum boards using cellulosic fiber. A set gypsum core is formed and disposed between face and back covers sheets. The set gypsum core is formed from a core slurry comprising stucco, water, cellulosic fiber, and optional additives, such as foaming agent, accelerator, retarder, dispersant, etc. A face dense layer formed from a dense layer slurry comprising stucco, water, and cellulosic fiber is disposed between the core and the face paper. If desired, a back dense layer formed from dense layer slurry can be disposed between the core and the back paper. In embodiments, cellulosic fiber is added to water to form a suspension. The suspension is introduced, while in a non-laminar state, into the core layer and dense layer slurries. Further disclosed is apparatus, such as an extractor and an additive injection system, which can be a part of a cementitious slurry mixing and dispensing assembly.

The invention is a method of preventing the formation of cracks on new recreational surfaces (e.g., tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, running tracks, and the like). The method includes securing a layer of flexible fabric over the entire top surface of a concrete or asphalt base. A layer of binder is provided between the fabric layer and the base to adhere the fabric to the concrete or asphalt. One or more additional upper layers of binder are also secured over the fabric. Treating the entire area of concrete or asphalt as a single unit provides continuity of the paved base and thereby eliminates the possibility of cracks forming.
