PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING CORK TILE
A process for applying a color pattern or design to a cork tile includes providing a release film, printing a design layer on the release film, applying a glue layer on the design layer so that the design layer is between the glue layer and the release film, and laminating the design layer and glue layer onto a cork top surface of the cork tile using a heated laminating machine, so that the glue layer and the design layer are released from the release film and form the color pattern or design on the cork top surface.
WOOD FIBRE BASED PANEL WITH A SURFACE LAYER
A building panel with a surface layer including a wood veneer, a wood fibre based core and a sub-layer between the surface layer and the core. The sub-layer includes wood fibres and a binder. The surface layer has surface portions including material from the sub-layer. The surface portions including material from the sub-layer extend into the wood veneer.
NATURAL FIBER VENEER COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Example composite material devices, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods of manufacture are disclosed. An example composite material includes a first layer including a flexible veneer made of a natural fiber material; and a second layer including a flexible substrate, coupled to a first side of the first layer. The second layer is to support the first layer to be resistant to cutting and to be bendable up to 180 degrees to obtain a curvature without damaging the first layer or the second layer.
Wood fibre based panel with a surface layer
A building panel with a surface layer (1) including a wood veneer, a wood fibre based core (2) and a sub-layer (3) between the surface layer (1) and the core (2). The sub-layer (3) includes wood fibres (4) and a binder (5). The surface layer (1) has surface portions (6) including material from the sub-layer (3). The surface portions (6) including material from the sub-layer (3) extend into the wood veneer.
Closing element for containers and method for producing said closing element
The concepts herein relate to a closing element (1) for containers for liquids, in particular bottles. The closing element (1) comprises at least a cork sheet (2) having two opposite main faces (2a, 2b) and at least a layer of insulating material (7), impermeable to liquids and to air and/or gases, coupled to the cork sheet (2). The layer of insulating material (7), at least partly covers at least one of said two main faces (2a, 2b). The cork sheet (2) and the layer of insulating material (7) are rolled so as to define the closing element (1) by an alternated winding of the cork sheet (2) and the layer of insulating material (7), and the layer of insulating material (7) and the alternated winding are configured and predisposed to make the closing element (1) impermeable or to liquids and air and/or gases. The mechanical winding is guaranteed by a partial and spotted gluing of the surfaces, usually only at the external end thereof.
Method for the production of a polyvinyl chloride-free top layer, polyvinyl chloride-free top layer and decking element
The present invention relates to a method for producing a polyvinyl chloride-free top layer (1) for a decking element (3), the method comprising the method steps indicated below: A) Providing a base layer (4) comprising and/or consisting of plastic; B) Printing a dcor (6) on a top (5) of the base layer (4) facing a usable side (7); C) Bonding, preferably laminating, a, preferably transparent, wearing surface (8) to the printed base layer (4) to form a, preferably solid, layer composite (9); D) Embossing the layer composite (9) at least in some areas, preferably over the entire surface, with a structure (10) at least substantially synchronous with the dcor (6), the structure (10) being embossed in such a way that it is visible both on the top (11) facing the usable side (7) and at least in some areas on the bottom (12) of the layer composite (9) facing away from the usable side (7); E) Application of a surface sealing layer (17), preferably a lacquer layer, to the top (11) of the layer composite (9) facing the usable side (7); F) optionally: curing of the surface sealing layer (17), preferably the lacquer layer.
Engineered waterproof plastic composite flooring and wall covering planks
Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.
Engineered waterproof plastic composite flooring and wall covering planks
Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING NATURAL CORK FILM
Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a natural cork film, which includes forming a thin cork layer by slicing a prepared natural cork material, forming a fiber layer by attaching a fiber sheet to one surface of the cork layer formed in the forming a thin cork layer, pre-treating a lamination of the cork layer and the fiber layer formed in the forming a fiber layer, for preventing discoloration of the cork layer, and forming a resin layer by attaching a resin sheet to the fiber layer passing through the pre-treating a lamination of the cork layer and the fiber layer. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the manufactured cork film from naturally discoloring due to light and to significantly reduce a phenomenon such as brittleness or wrinkling caused when the cork layer is decolorized alone.
