SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MULTI-LAYERED BOARD HAVING AT LEAST THREE MEDIUMS WITH AT LEAST TWO MEDIUMS BEING DIFFERENT
A system and method for producing a board product characterized by having two corrugated mediums and at least one embossed medium in the board product. The board product may further include one or more facings that are adhesively coupled to either the corrugated medium, the embossed medium, or both. Generally speaking, a corrugated medium may be characterized as a paper product that exhibits flutes induced by a cross-corrugating process such that the induced flutes are perpendicular (or at least not congruent) with the machine direction of the paper product. An embossed medium may be characterized as a paper product that exhibits flutes induced by a linear-embossing process such that the induced flutes are aligned with the machine direction of the paper product. A resultant board product is stronger and more efficiently produced because of the linearly-embossed medium harnessing the natural strength of the paper in the machine direction.

Volume hologram sheet to be embedded, forgery prevention paper, and card
An object of the present invention is to provide a thin volume hologram sheet to be embedded sufficiently resistant to a mechanical stress such as a stress including a tensile stress, a shear stress and a compression stress at the time of processing even under a heating condition, a forgery prevention paper and a card using the same. The object is achieved by providing a volume hologram sheet to be embedded comprising a volume hologram layer, and a substrate disposed only on one side surface of the volume hologram layer using an adhesion means, wherein a peeling strength of the volume hologram layer and the substrate is 25 gf/25 mm or more.
A LAMINATED PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR LIQUID FOOD PRODUCTS, A METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME, A METHOD FOR PRINTING ON THE SAME AND A PACKAGE MADE FROM THE SAME
A laminated packaging material for liquid food products comprising, a core layer of paper or paperboard or other cellulose-based material, a laminate portion being arranged on a first side of the core layer, a dark colored flexographic ink composition printed onto the free surface of the laminate portion, the dark colored ink composition comprises color bases mixed at a ratio such that a total energy absorption by the dark colored flexographic ink composition, when provided on the laminated packaging material, is below 80%, such as below 70% in an emission spectra from a tungsten light source in the region 250-2500 nm at a temperature of 3000 K, the dark colored flexographic ink composition has a color space lightness value L*≤25, and a color space difference equal to or lower than 6, with respect to a specified black reference composition.
Oxygen barrier film and laminate and methods of manufacturing the same
The invention concerns a fibrous-based oxygen barrier film, which comprises (i) a microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) film, (ii) an oxygen barrier polymer layer, (iii) an optional tie layer, and (iv) an outermost polyolefin layer. The invention even concerns a laminate, in which said multilayer film is combined with a fibrous paper or board base by means of an intermediate polyethylene layer. The oxygen barrier polymerlayer, which preferably is EVOH, and the polyolefin layer are brought by coextrusion onto the MFC film. The film and the laminate according to the invention aim at an improved oxygen barrier in high humidity conditions and have use in oxygen-sensitive food packaging.
Composite Label and Method of Making
A method for making labels comprising providing a plastic substrate layer and a paper substrate layer. The paper substrate layer comprises a printed display information sheet, wherein the printed display information sheet comprises a plurality of display information tags arranged in an array. The plastic substrate layer is coupled to each of the rows of display information tags within a first portion of the display information tags to form a composite substrate row. A first line of perforations is cut into a width of the composite substrate at one or more first spaced intervals, a length of the first spaced intervals being defined by a length of the display information tags. A a second line of perforations is cut into a width of the composite substrate at one or more second spaced intervals, a length of the second spaced intervals being defined by a height of the display information tags.
NON-COMBUSTIBLE HEATING-TYPE SMOKING ARTICLE, ELECTRIC HEATING-TYPE SMOKING SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING NON-COMBUSTIBLE HEATING-TYPE SMOKING ARTICLE
A non-combustible heating-type smoking article includes: a tobacco filler; and a wrapper enclosing the tobacco filler. The wrapper includes: a substrate sheet made of metal; a first sheet made of paper and bonded to one surface of the substrate sheet on a side of the tobacco filler; and a second sheet made of paper and bonded to one other surface of the substrate sheet on a side opposite to the one surface.
Thick-caliper laminated paperboard and methods for making the same
Methods of making laminated paper sheets include winding paper around a flat-sided mandrel to form a flat-sided convolute tube and cutting from the flat-sided convolute tube one or more laminated paper sheets. The laminated paper sheets are alternatives to plastic, wood, and wood-like materials, such as plywood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and oriented strand board (OSB).
