Composite products of paper and cellulose nanofibrils and process of making
Strong, light-weight composite laminates are made by impregnating layers of paper with a cellulose nanofiber (CNF) slurry, laying the coated papers up in a plurality of layers or stack, and subjecting the stack to pressure and heat for a period of time sufficient to cause the CNF to impregnate, reinforce, and bond the paper layers into a composite. The resulting composite has impressive mechanical strength and exhibits a substantially homogeneous composition throughout its depth. The composite should have good strength to weight properties, and be recyclable or compostable.
Foil Laminate Intermediate and Method of Manufacturing
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a metal foil laminate which may be used for example to produce an antenna for a radio frequency (RFID) tag, electronic circuit, photovoltaic module or the like. A web of material is provided to at least one cutting station in which a first pattern is generated in the web of material. A further cutting may occur to create additional modifications in order to provide additional features for the intended end use of the product. The cutting may be performed by a laser either alone or in combinations with other cutting technologies.
Manufacturing process for forming domed paper
The present teachings disclose s a process for forming paper domes including: indexing two or more sheets of cut material intended to form a dome when pressed where at least one of the sheets has a cured or dried glue already adhered thereto, applying a glue activator solvent such as water on an exterior top or exterior bottom surface of at least one of the sheets, pressing the sheets together with heat and pressure to form a completed combined sheet with multiple domes, and moving the completed combined sheet.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FACING FOR A BOARD PRODUCT WITH STRATEGICALLY PLACED SCORES
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have a pre-scored facing in addition to a medium (sometimes called fluting). Conventional corrugated board may feature a cross-corrugated medium and one or more facing that have no score lines that are impressed (at least prior to assembly with the corrugated medium). Such a conventional board product may be inferior because any score lines that are impressed will damage the underlying corrugated medium in some manner. A breakdown in the strength of the underlying medium leads to poor precision when the eventual board product is scored, cut, and folded. A lack of precision in folding a board product leads to gap variation and fishtailing as any articulated portion of the board product may not maintain a precise plane of articulation when folded.

Pressed laminate panel with a single layer elastomerick treated paper
A laminated panel is provided which comprises, or consists of, a core panel to which an elastomeric resin impregnated single finishing printed paper layer has been applied. The paper for the single finishing printed paper layer is printed to provide a design feature on the laminated panel. Preferably, the design feature has been printed on a lower surface of the single finishing printed paper layer. As a result of the resin impregnation and heating and pressing operations, the single finishing printed paper layer becomes translucent or transparent, and thus allows the printed design feature to become visible. The design feature can be printed onto the single finishing printed paper prior to treatment with the elastomeric resin, or printed onto the previously treated elastomeric resin impregnated paper. The laminated panels can be used in the production of laminated flooring, wall panels or furniture panels.
Dissolvable Thermal Direct Adhesive Label and Methods of Assembly and Use of the Same
A label assembly including one or more dissolvable thermal direct adhesive labels and methods of assembly and use. According to one embodiment, each label includes a base layer, a thermal direct layer, an adhesive layer, and a barrier layer. The base layer, which has an upper surface and a lower surface, is water-dissolvable and may be made of a water-dissolvable paper. The thermal direct layer is positioned directly over the upper surface of the base layer and functions in the conventional manner to produce markings therein in response to heat. The adhesive layer is water-dissolvable and is positioned below the lower surface of the base layer. The barrier layer, which is positioned directly below the lower surface of the base layer and directly over the adhesive layer, serves to prevent migration of the adhesive layer through the base layer and into contact with the thermal direct layer.
MULTIPLE-LAYER COMPOSITE BOARD OF DISCRETE MATERIALS AND PLASTIC, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
The invention relates to a multiple-layer composite board of discrete materials and plastic. The multiple-layer composite board of discrete materials and plastic is formed by providing independently stratified plastic layers and discrete material layers, which are pressed in melting state of the alternate plastic layers and discrete material layers and cooled. Due to this stratification, centralized plastic layers constitute high load capacity and discrete material layers pressed with pressure lower than normal extrusion process constitute low density for the multiple-layer composite board of discrete materials and plastic.
Aerosol Generating Articles And Methods For Manufacturing The Same
A sheet-type aerosol generating article includes at least two aerosol generating sheets each having aerosol generating material and an inductively heatable susceptor. The inductively heatable susceptor is positioned between the aerosol generating sheets and each of the aerosol generating sheets has an exposed surface. Methods for manufacturing sheet-type aerosol generating articles are also disclosed.
Veneered element and method of producing such a veneered element
A veneered element, including a substrate, a wood veneer layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface being opposite to the second surface, an adhesive layer adapted to adhere the first surface of the wood veneer layer to a surface of the substrate, wherein adhesive from the adhesive layer is present in a first portion of the wood veneer layer, extending from the first surface of the wood veneer layer into the wood veneer layer, and wherein the second surface of the wood veneer layer is substantially free from adhesive from the adhesive layer. Also, a method of producing such a veneered element).
