Floor panel

A floor may include a substrate having a top side and a bottom side. A top layer may be provided on the substrate. The top layer may consist of a printed thermoplastic film and a thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer provided on the printed thermoplastic film. The top layer may be directly adhered to the substrate by heat welding the printed thermoplastic film and the top side of the substrate, in the absence of a glue layer. The substrate may be a synthetic material board including a filler. The substrate at least at two opposite edges may include coupling means provided in the synthetic material board. The thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer may be provided with a structure.

Various embodiments of multilayer polymer films and multilayer structures with enhanced tear strength are provided. Also disclosed are processes and systems for producing the disclosed multilayer polymer films. The disclosed films comprise a first polymer that may be cross-linkable upon exposure to radiation, and a second polymer that is cleaved or broken when exposed to irradiation. Layers comprising the first polymer are referred to as bulk layers, and layers comprising the second polymer are referred to as scission layers. Scission layers are positioned between bulk layers. The bulk and scission layers may comprise one or more sublayers.

Floor panel

A floor panel has a rectangular and oblong shape, and includes a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate and forming a decorative side of the floor panel. The top layer is composed of a print provided on a carrier sheet and a transparent thermoplastic layer situated above the print. The substrate has a thickness from 2 to 10 millimeter and forms at least half of the thickness of the floor panel. The substrate is a polyurethane-based substrate and the transparent thermoplastic layer is polyurethane-based. The floor panel has a length of more than 1.1 meters and has a plurality of reinforcing layers situated outside the center line of the substrate. A reinforcing layer may be provided in combination with the substrate and the top layer.

GLAZING HAVING A FRAME FOR AN INFORMATION ACQUISITION SYSTEM

The present disclosure generally relates to a vehicle glazing (e.g., vehicle windshield) having an opaque enamel printed opening for an information acquisition system and a darkening source within the opaque enamel printed opening to reduce optical transmittance distortion and improve performance of information acquisition systems (e.g., an imaging system, electric sensor(s), video camera(s), distance sensor(s)) associated with a vehicle. The darkening source, which may not undergo extreme heat treatment above 500 deg. C., provides a darkening source open area within the opaque enamel print open area, wherein the darkening source open area provides an opening through which the information acquisition system may receive information from outside a vehicle.

METHOD FOR MITIGATING PASSIVE INTERMODULATION
20200382224 · 2020-12-03 ·

Materials and methods for mitigating passive intermodulation. A membrane for reducing passive intermodulation includes a first polymeric layer, a second polymeric layer, and a continuous metal layer encapsulated between the first and second polymeric layers. A self-adhesive radio frequency barrier tape includes a waterproof polymeric top layer, a metal-containing layer adhered by an adhesive layer to the polymeric top layer, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to the metal-containing layer, and a release liner on a bottom surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer. A method of mitigating passive intermodulation includes passing a probe over an area of interest, the probe being sensitive to an intermodulation frequency of interest, and identifying a suspected source of passive intermodulation when the amplitude of the probe output exceeds a threshold at the frequency of interest. The method further includes covering the suspected passive intermodulation source with a radio frequency barrier material.
