A method of making a safe egress bathtub providing safe egress by reducing slide forces extended on a user's feet upon a slippery bathtub floor, wherein the formed bathtub has a limited rectangular footprint, and an optimized floor space is formed with a substantially planar base with a length and width that define the limited rectangular footprint and a front wall, a back wall, a first side wall and a second side wall integral with and extending substantially vertically upwards from the substantially planar base. Each of the front, back, first side wall and second side wall have minimal wall thicknesses to define the optimized floor space and the front wall has a substantially planar inwardly, cantilevered upper apron deck in a substantially parallel relation to the substantially planar base.

A bathtub extension liner includes, but is not limited to a plurality of horizontally inflatable tubes adapted to be positioned around an outer perimeter of a bathtub; a vinyl assembly connected to the plurality of horizontally inflatable tubes, the vinyl assembly adapted to line an interior area of a bathtub; and a drain assembly, said drain assembly centrally positioned within the vinyl assembly adapted to line the interior area of the bathtub near an end of a lengthwise dimension of the vinyl assembly wherein water that is held inside the inflatable bathtub liner is released through the drain assembly and exits through a conventional bathtub drain as provided on the conventional bathtub.

Described is a prefabricated bathtub or shower pan with curved outer edges and an elevated threshold that act as returning points for water. More specifically, the bathtub or shower pan are formed to include a drain area surrounded by interior sides and a threshold dam. A side ledge is formed atop each of the interior sides, each side ledge having a top edge. Surrounding walls rise from the top edge of each side ledge. Further, the threshold dam has an angled top surface with a lower edge. Notably, the lower edge of the angled top surface is higher than the top edge of each of the side ledges to prevent any water from running from the side ledges onto the threshold dam. The bathtub or shower pan also include curved outer edges that transition from a side wall and onto the threshold dam to return water to the drain area.

A method, device and system for displaying, via a user interface, an ambiance setting for a bathing system. The user interface is configured to display at least one display page on a display screen. The method comprises displaying on the display screen, a plurality of ambiance settings selectable by a user of the user interface, receiving, at a processor, an indication of a selected ambiance setting from the plurality of ambiance settings displayed on the display screen and in response to the selected ambiance setting, displaying on the display screen a first operational setting for at least one first type of bathing unit component and a second operational setting for at least one second type of bathing unit component. The first operational setting and the second operational setting are pre-programmed in association with the selected ambiance setting.

A bathtub liner for covering an inner surface of a bathtub, wherein the bathtub liner provides a buffer against the chipped or cracked inner surface of the bathtub. The bathtub liner includes a cushioning layer sandwiched between an upper layer and a bottom layer. The bottom layer can be thick and cut resistant while the top layer may be transparent and slip resistant. Edge portions of the upper and the bottom layer can be sealably bonded together encasing the cushioning layer. The bathtub liner further has a drain hole.

A tub has a wall mounted spout from which mixed hot/cold water flows into the tub below the max fill level of the tub. The spout preferably does not extend significantly into the tub and can be provided with a check valve and/or vent external to the volume of the tub.
