The adhesive layer includes (i) a functionalized ethylene-based polymer having a melt index from 0.1 g/10 min to 300 g/10 min; (ii) from 0.01 wt % to 45 wt % of a functionalized hydrocarbon; (iii) a tackifier; and (iv) optionally, a crosslinking agent.

Laminated papermaking belt

Disclosed is a two layered belt useful in the manufacture of tissue products comprising a first woven layer and a second nonwoven layer joined together in a laminated arrangement. The woven layer typically forms the machine contacting layer of the belt and is woven from a highly abrasion resistant material, while the nonwoven layer contacts the nascent tissue web. The woven layer may be provided with valleys and ridges that the nascent web is molded into, while the nonwoven layer may be provided with elements that impart a visually aesthetic pattern to the web. In this manner the belt may be useful in the production of products having desirable physical properties resulting from molding into the woven fabric while also being visually pleasing to the user.

Adhesion aging protection in corded rubber articles

A conveyor belt including a carry cover layer, a reinforcement layer which is situated below the carry cover layer, and a pulley cover layer which is situated below the reinforcement layer, where the reinforcement layer is comprised of steel cordage and rubber matrix, and wherein the rubber matrix includes zinc oxide in an amount greater than 5 phr. In some cases the rubber the matrix includes zinc oxide in an amount of 11 phr or greater, or even in an amount of 16 phr or greater. In some aspects, the rubber matrix is devoid of lead oxide. In some aspects, the steel cordage is zinc coated steel cords.

Bonding of heat-activated films including a plasticizer

Articles including a polymer film, a plasticizer and a substrate are included. A method of bonding the film to the substrate includes the use of the plasticizer which provides a durable bond by using a lower temperatures and shorter bonding times than would be required in the absence of the plasticizer.

ELASTOMER LAMINATE

An elastomer laminate comprises at least two adjacent layers, the first layer consisting of a composition based on 20 to 100 phr of at least one copolymer comprising ethylene units and units of a formula CH.sub.2?CRCH?CH.sub.2, the ethylene units in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of the monomer units, R representing a hydrocarbon chain having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, 0 to 80 phr of at least one diene elastomer having a weight content of diene units of greater than 50%, 10 to 100 phr of a plasticizing system comprising at least one plasticizing resin having a glass transition temperature above 20? C. and/or at least one plasticizer that is liquid at 23? C., a reinforcing filler, and a crosslinking system, and the second layer consisting of a composition based on a diene elastomer having a weight content of diene units of greater than 50% and a crosslinking system.

Heat resistant conveyor belt

Heavy duty conveyor belts (1) having excellent resistance to high temperatures. These conveyor belts (1) can be repeatedly exposed to temperatures of greater than 200 C. or even 250 C. without compromising the strength or reliability of the belt while providing a greatly extended service life. The conveyor belts (1) may also be manufactured in a commercially viable and cost effective manner. The conveyor belts (1) generally include a reinforcement layer (3), a carry cover layer (2) disposed above the reinforcement layer (3), a pulley cover layer (4) disposed beneath the reinforcement layer (3), and the carry cover layer (2) is comprised of a fluoroelastomer.
