Process for recycling of bonded articles
A method is described for debonding a bonded article. The bonded article comprises at least two components which are bonded to one another by means of a polyurethane adhesive selected from aqueous polyurethane dispersion adhesives and polyurethane hotmelt adhesives. At least one of the components is a thermoplastic polyurethane. The components are debonded by treatment with an aqueous surfactant composition at elevated temperatures.
Toothed belt and manufacturing method therefor
The present invention relates to a toothed belt, including: a back portion including a tension member; a plurality of tooth portions; a back rubber layer; and a first rubber layer and a second rubber layer that are formed on a belt inner circumferential side with respect to the tension member, in which an elastic modulus of the first rubber layer is larger than that of the second rubber layer, the first rubber layer includes a first crosslinked rubber composition including a first rubber component and a first short fiber, a proportion of the first short fiber is 5 parts by mass to 60 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the first rubber component, the first short fiber is oriented in a belt longitudinal direction along a contour of the tooth portion.
Friction transmission belt and manufacturing method thereof
A frictional power-transmission belt having a frictional power-transmission surface covered with a composite fiber layer, in which the composite fiber layer includes a fiber member and an isocyanate compound, and the fiber member includes a cellulose-based fiber. In the frictional power-transmission belt, the isocyanate compound may have a proportion of 3 to 20 mass % in the composite fiber layer.
POLYCHLOROPRENE ELASTOMER CURED BY SUSTAINABLE VULCANIZING AGENT
An article such as a multilayer hose includes at least one layer formed from an elastomeric composition including one or more polychloroprene elastomer(s); and a sustainable vulcanizing agent adapted to cure the one or more polychloroprene elastomer(s), the sustainable vulcanizing agent being at least partially derived from a sustainable source of treated dregs, and having a composition comprising, in % by mass based on the sustainable vulcanizing agent: 25%-50% CaO, 2% to 20% MgO, and 20% to 40% ZnO.
Articles with an adhesive layer
The present disclosure provides an article. The article includes an adhesive layer with two opposing surfaces. The adhesive layer includes (i) a functionalized ethylene-based polymer having a melt index from 0.1 g/10 min to 300 g/10 min; (ii) from 0.01 wt % to 45 wt % of a functionalized hydrocarbon; (iii) a tackifier; and (iv) optionally, a crosslinking agent.
