User-friendly tamper-resistant/tamper-evident container-seal system for containers of consumer goods and methods of use
11390428 · 2022-07-19 · ·

The inventive disclosures described herein pertain to an improved tamper-resistant/tamper-evident (TE) seal for containers of consumer-product-containment vessels (such as, for example, prescription bottles, condiment bottles, etc.) that enables a user to better grip and/or exert force/leverage to more-easily and reliably open such containers. Specifically, it features an improved seal-removal assembly that provides a collapsible finger-receiving aperture that allows a user to insert at least one user finger (or an elongated tool, such as a writing utensil), and exert upward force to breach the container seal.

COVER FILM AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT PACKAGE USING SAME

A cover film having at least a substrate layer and a sealant resin layer, wherein the sealant resin layer is formed to contact one surface of the substrate layer or is formed on an intermediate resin layer contacting one surface of the substrate layer, and the sealant resin layer contacting the substrate layer or the intermediate resin layer contacting the substrate layer contains an epoxidized fatty acid or a derivative thereof. The epoxidized fatty acid or a derivative thereof in the sealant resin layer contacting the substrate layer or in the intermediate resin layer contacting the substrate layer is preferably at a content of 0.5 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of a resin component constituting the intermediate resin layer contacting the substrate layer and/or the sealant resin layer contacting the substrate layer.

RESEALABLE FILM

The present invention relates to a resealable container comprising: a polyethylene terephthalate-based container body comprising a bottom side and at least one upwardly extending sidewall, wherein the sidewall terminates in an open end of the container; a flexible film sealed to the container body, over the open end of the container, wherein the flexible film comprises: a polyethylene-based first film layer; a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adjacent a lower surface of the first film layer; a polyolefin plastomer skin layer adjacent a lower surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer, wherein the first layer, pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and skin layer are coextruded; and a heat seal layer printed onto a lower surface of the skin layer and heat sealed to the container body.

RECYCLABLE FILM FOR THERMOFORMING
20220162405 · 2022-05-26 ·

Recyclable films having at least a first layer containing a high-density polyethylene, a second layer containing a high-density polyethlene and a hydrocarbon resin, and a third layer containing a high-density polyethylene may be used for thermoforming packaging components. The film structure is advantageous as it can be more easily thermoformed than traditional high-density poly-ethylene films and can maintain the shape taken during thermoforming, exhibiting minimal warping or shrinking.

HIGH PERFORMANCE RECYCLABLE LID

Extrudable antifog copolyester heat seal resins

A semicrystalline copolyester resin composition formed by twin screw extrusion of various ingredients includes copolyester resins, antiblock, slip and antifog additives. This semicrystalline copolyester resin can be extruded on to PET film or coextruded with PET resin to form clear PET films with antifog properties. These films with antifog properties are produced in a single step without the use of solvent and does not involve any secondary step for coating a separate antifog layer. This minimizes the cost and time required by a converter to make such clear antifog films. These films containing the heat seal copolyester resin can be heat sealed to clear APET trays. Contents within the trays, such as food, can be seen without fogging on the inside of the film that is used to seal the tray. The seals are strong and the peels are smooth giving a very good packaging performance.

Packaging container with reclosable lid and label

The present subject matter relates to a label lid for sealing an opening in a packaging container. The label comprises a facestock layer, a removable adhesive layer, a heat-seal layer, and an optional release coating, wherein the removable adhesive layer does not include a release liner. The removable adhesive layer can be coated on the heat-seal layer or the facestock layer. Optionally, a release coating can be applied to the heat-seal layer or the facestock layer. The composition of the layers used in specific arrangements provides unique performance characteristics for the label for improved sealing, reclosure, and matrix stripping properties.
