Multi-layer web and mechanical scoring process for forming lidding film for push through blister packages. The web is configured to resist the tensile forces encountered during manufacturing processes, including slitting, rewinding and heat sealing processes. A simplified web conversion process for creating mechanically scored lidding film for blister packages is provided at reduced investment and operational costs compared to prior art systems.

A film comprises an outer heat sealable layer mainly made of a (co)polyolefin with the Vicat softening temperature not exceeding 130° C., at least one heat resistant layer mainly made of at least one polar (co)polymer selected from the group including predominantly aliphatic (co)polyamides and aromatic (co)polyesters, and at least one core adhesive layer from a material capable of adhering both to (co)polyolefins and to polar (co)polymers. The heat resistant layer comprises not less than 15% of at least one predominantly aliphatic copolyamide with the melting temperature not exceeding 205° C. A method comprises the stages of coextrusion, biaxial stretching, thermosetting and winding up of the resulting film into a roll.

The method includes placing into a mold an assembly of an uncured elastomeric sheet, a first film fully covering the elastomeric sheet and a second film covering the first film, such that the second film is in contact with and positioned between the first film and an interior surface of the mold. The method further includes curing the assembly in the mold, such that the first film is laminated onto the elastomeric sheet thereby forming the at least one elastomeric article.

The hot melt polymer can be applied to the adhesive layer using a suitable coating or spraying process.

A method and an apparatus form aluminium screw capsules with a safety ring made of synthetic plastics for tamperproof closing of containers. An aluminium capsule body is inserted into a moulding cavity of a mould conformed and arranged for the overmoulding of a safety ring on an edge of an annular wall of the capsule body. An annular sealing zone is defined for the synthetic plastic material between a first surface of the capsule body and a mould first portion inserted into the central cavity of the capsule body to form a safety ring anchored to the capsule body.
