MULTILAYERED POLYESTER RESIN-COATED METAL SHEET, MULTILAYERED POLYESTER RESIN FILM, AND CAN LID
[Object]
To provide a multilayered polyester resin-coated metal sheet having respective performance of suppression of film cracks around a rivet portion arranged on a can lid (processability), suppression of resin delamination through retort processing after content filling (adhesion), and suppression of corrosion of a metal substrate after aging (corrosion resistance), all together at high levels, in addition to operability at the time of opening.
[Solving Means]
A multilayered polyester resin-coated metal sheet of the present invention has a metal substrate, a lower layer formed on at least one side of the metal substrate and made from a polyester resin (A) modified with 2 to 30 mol % of a first copolymerizable component, and an upper layer that is formed on the lower layer and that contains a polyester resin. (B) and a soft component (C) incompatible with the polyester resin (B), the soft component (C) being contained at a content of 2 to 50 mass % when the polyester resin (B) and the soft component (C) are assumed to amount to 100 mass % in total.
RESEALABLE LIDDING FOR RIGID THERMOFORMED TUBS
A resealable package, and method for making is provided. The package may comprise a base member configured to receive an item, having a flange. The package may comprise a laminate having, and outer structure and an inner structure joined by an adhesive layer. The laminate defines a lidding member, including a pull tab. The lidding member is affixed to the flange by a seal. The laminate may include an outer line of weakness in the outer structure defining a separable opening portion along the outer line of weakness. The lidding member may comprise a first inner line of weakness in the inner structure, defining a separable opening portion from the inner portion. The lidding member may comprise a second inner line of weakness formed in the inner structure, wherein the second inner line of weakness is disposed between the pull tab and the inner opening portion, partially within the seal.
PEELABLE RESEALABLE MEMBRANE FOR CONTAINERS
The invention comprises a peelable membrane for resealably closing a metal end comprising an outer layer, a tacky layer, and a heat seal layer. The heat seal layer is permanently sealed to the metal end to cover at least one opening in the metal end. The tacky layer causes the peelable membrane to be resealable onto the metal end.
PROTECTIVE PACKAGING AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The disclosure is directed to methods of manufacturing protective packaging materials, as well as the protective packaging materials produced using the disclosed methods. These packaging materials can be biodegradable, compostable, and/or recyclable.
Mutli-layer products
A multi-layer product as a seal includes a cover layer having an adhesive layer and a backing layer with a release layer. The cover layer has a first part including one or more releasable portions, each having an associated patch. The backing layer has a pre-formed line of separation that extends across the seal from the first edge to the second edge and separates the backing layer into a first part and a second part. The second part of the backing layer includes at least one removable portion at an edge thereof. Each removable portion is defined by one or more pre-formed lines of separation. The cover layer has a second part including at least one flap portion each of which is substantially coincident with a respective one of the removable portions and defined by one or more pre-formed lines of separation in the second part of the cover layer.
Resin composition, melt-forming material, multilayer structure, and liquid packaging material
A resin composition contains: (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer; (B) an olefin polymer; and (C) a sorbic acid ester; wherein the sorbic acid ester (C) is present in an amount of 0.00001 to 10 ppm based on the weight of the resin composition. The resin composition exhibits reduced susceptibility to coloration.
RESIN COMPOSITION, HEAT-SHRINKABLE FILM, AND CONTAINER
The heat-shrinkable film includes a block copolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-derived structural unit and a conjugated diene-derived structural unit as a main component.
WATER-DISPERSIBLE AND BIODEGRADABLE FILMS FOR PACKAGING
The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to packaging film and packages constructed from water-dispersible and/or biodegradable material. The water-dispersible and biodegradable package consists of a first layer of a water-dispersible material constituting an interior of the package, and a second layer of a biodegradable material constituting the exterior of the package. The package may have printed indicium printed onto the exterior of the package.
RESEALABLE LIDDING FILM FOR USE ON COMPOSTABLE TRAYS
According to some embodiments, a resealable lidding film is provided. The resealable lidding film includes a first layer capable of being attached to a compostable container according to some embodiments. In certain embodiments, the first layer can include a first layer top surface; a first layer bottom surface; a release coating applied to at least a portion of the first top surface of the first layer; and one or more score lines. The resealable lidding film also includes a second layer lacking score lines according to some embodiments. The resealable lidding film also includes an adhesive layer between the release coating of the first layer and the second layer according to some embodiments. In other embodiments, the resealable lidding film includes a first layer capable of being attached to a compostable container and a second layer having a release coating applied to at least a portion of a top surface of the second layer; and one or more score lines through the first and second layers. The resealable lidding film includes also includes a third layer lacking score lines. In some embodiments, the resealable lidding film includes a permanent adhesive layer between the first and second layers and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer between the second and third layers.
FRACTURE FILM FOR PEELABLE MEMBRANE CONTAINERS
The invention comprises a fracture film for sealing a peelable membrane to a container comprising a first layer of high density polyethelene, a second layer of polybutene-1/ethylene-vinyl acetate, wherein the second layer is bonded to the first layer, and a third layer of ethylene-acrylic acid, wherein the third layer is bonded to the second layer.
